I was out of town at a conference for the storm and got back last night. But it must have still been pretty windy last night because a tree branch fell on my car, cracking the windshield in several places! I just bought my car a few months ago, so I'm pretty upset! Luckily it's free in Florida to replace a windshield and it's getting fixed tomorrow. And I thought when I got home last night that we were in the clear, ugh.

it's free to replace a windshield? interesting. why?
I've never needed mine replaced but H did twice in one month. Free and free. State law. Just the front windshield. Not sure why, but please don't teach Amelia that word:)

Yup, I've had mine done too. It gets filed through your insurance but doesn't count against you as a claim and isnt subject to your deductible. I had to have it done last year and was so nervous. Maybe they figure it's better to replace it for free ths have people driving around with cracked windshields.
