Amelia born 12/27/12 Life is good. She's sleeping great, kind of napping, has 2 adorable teeth that you're starting to see when she smiles. She's pooping a lot less now like once a day as opposed to her typical 5 or 6. Im going to start giving her sips of juice. She doesn't care for apple so I'm going to do prune next. Poor thing. Her 6 month pics are coming up on Wed morning, on her official half birthday. Time is going too fast.
Amellis2, Mom to Amelia and Abigail, 13 months (6/4/11)
They are both walking. They have awesome sense of humor. Amelia has learned how to set in a chair by stepping into it, and twisting around. Then she gives herself a round of applause! Her nana taught her to say, "nom nom nom" when she eats, so there's that now.
Abigail is such a good eater. Avocados? Yep. Blueberries? Yessir. Peas? You betcha. She also growls when she is happy with what she is eating. Abigail is learning about in and out as spatial concepts.
They both like to groove and have started waving goodbye. ::heartswell::

I'm 35 weeks by my original due date of 7/28. We could push my due date to 8/4 if needed since that's what the 14 week ultrasound showed. I'm more than ready! I'm a lot more uncomfoertable this time compared with Kennedy. I swear, it already feels like he's about to fall out because the pressure is so intense. I cannot wait to hit the 37 week safe period with the midwives for my home birth. I'm a little stressed though because H is apparently traveling AFTER my 37 week point. He claims he can get home from North Carolina in no time if I go into labor and that it won't be "that fast." Unless he has acquired a private jet I didn't know about, I'm not sure how he thinks that it will be so easy. Especially since my labor was fairly short with Kennedy, once I decided I really was in labor. He also says he'll have a talk with Calen about when he should come out. *rolls eyes*
Kennedy is 16 months now and growing up like crazy! She's pulling up on everything and I think she'll be cruising the furniture in no time. She's working on her third tooth finally!! She just started speech therapy and they are really impressed with how well she eats, drinks with a straw cup, follows commands and all the sounds she makes, even if she isn't truly saying words. I'm so incredibly proud of her! She is so much fun at this age and I love all the things we can do together.
He is getting so big! I cant believe he is going to be a year old in a month.
He is good at pulling himself up on the furniture and walking along the couch but has not tried to walk or let go yet.
Trying to work on getting him to drink out of a sippy cup. He doesnt really have any interest, more interested in chewing on the spout part of the cup. Eating is going ok, doesnt like things in his purees. I gave him split pea soup with carrots and he gags on the carrots. Weird because he eats puffs pretty well. I feel like I have no clue what I am doing as a FTM.
I'm 11 weeks preggo, will be 12 on Thursday. Go for my 12 week appt on Friday and I'm so excited, hopefully they do a sonogram. Ladies, do they?
Mine did a vag sonogram at 8 weeks (I think?) and a real one at 12, 20, 30 and an extra one at 36 because of positioning. I remember that at 12 weeks is way too early to decide gender but the tech said it was pretty clear and gave me a guess and ended up being right! (I realize there is a 50/50 chance, but she said some are clearer than others at that age). So exciting!

I think it all depends on your Dr and your insurance. I only had two, one at 7 weeks and the anatomy scan at 19 or whatever it was. Some people only get 1 (Tasha, you only had 1 with one of your kids, right?), so who knows. I did not want the extra testing, so that probably had something to do with it as well.
I think I had more because I was 35 and "advanced maternal age". They recommended I have an amnio but I just had the screening done instead which was a series of 2 sonograms and 2 sets of bloodwork.

Yep, my office, which a big practice with lots of doctors, only does 1 ultrasound at around 20 weeks regardless of insurance, unless you are a high risk pregnancy or have complications. Since pretty much everyone I know went there, I didn't have any idea a lot of people gets lots of them until I started seeing it on this board. I just assumed only one was standard.

I think one is standard (not that I've ever been standard. Wait...that good?) I had several at the beginning because we didn't know if I was pregnant, and if I was how far along I was - I had only been on birth control pills for a 2 months following our loss the prior June. I had a total of 4 in the 1st tri (three for "threatned m/c." And one for N/T. And then one a month thereafter with my MFM because of 1) Issues with the placenta and 2) Amelia had a calcification on on of her heart valve flaps (like my technical terms?) that eventually went away on its own, but was a soft marker for Down Syndrome.
I've been MIA just kind of dealing with everything going on. My fluids are still low and my doctors have continued my bedrest to see if it will help until 36 weeks. So far, not really. But luckily the fluids are staying where they are so she can continue to bake. My doctors are hoping I make it until 37 weeks (full term) and we will see where I am at. That is my goal, so I have a little over a week and a half to go at least. I am having KILLER contractions, but nothing timeable yet.
MacKenzie is starting to feel the stress of a new baby. She is starting to talk like a baby and wanting her paci more and more. She even threw a fit because I wouldn't put her milk in a bottle (she hasn't had a bottle since she was 1).
This is getting incredibly tough for our whole family. My H is not dealing well with all the issues I am having and getting so short with MacKenzie. I have to keep reminding him she's two and a huge wrench is going to be thrown in her life in a few short weeks and we have to take her with a grain of salt. I just can't wait for ALL of this to be over so at least I can help without sitting idle by...
Zoe threw her first giant temper tantrum yesterday. Luckily we were home. I am not looking forward to many more of these!
She now says "dada" "mama" "ow" (if that is a word, lol!) "night night" (she doesn"t really pronounce the "t" ) and "hi." We sai hi alllll day long. It's really adorable! She seriously cracks me up. She has the funniest laugh! I love this age!
Still BFing! Woo hooooo! We were down to 3 times a day but last week she had her first stomach virus and since then its been more often. She actually nursed at the La Leche League meeting last week, which she NEVER does. Every since she was small she didn't do well NIP because of all the distractions. Maybe it's because she saw all the other babies doing it, lol! Today at the mall in the play area she tried to lift my shirt up again. It's not like her, but maybe she just wants milk then and there. Luckily I can negotiate or distract her now so I just nursed her when we got home. This is what I love about toddler nursing. It's so laid back and we just go with it! No pressure for me to be sole food provider and she is not nursing every 2-3 hours.

Blake born 5/22/12 Blake just turned one month old a few days ago. He's about 8.5 lbs right now, maybe a little more. He's adorable and I think we've been really lucky. We definitely have some nights where he does not want to sleep. at. all. But we have other nights where he will sleep in 4 hour incrimants and I can catch up on my own sleep. H and I are really enjoying parenthood and it's been awesome seeing this new side to one another since we have been togeher 11 years. I can't believe how awesome of a dad he is.. I mean, not that I had low expecations, but I thought we would both be freaking out and he isn't at all and that makes me 10 times better too.
And I think I had 3 ultrasounds? It does depend on your insurance mostly from what my doctor told me.. unless you are high risk of course. We had one at 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy, 12 weeks, and then I think the anatomy scan was like at 18 or 20 weeks? Wow I can't remember and it hasn't even been that long, lol.

I had U/S's at 8 weeks, 12, 20, 36 and 39. We also did a 3D one and he was uncooperative so I got to have 3 of them before we got good pics!
I will be 40 weeks on Friday. Things are ok physically for the most part. I am uncomfortable and waddley but no major issues. I had a Dr appt today and he is measuring 7lbs 13oz. I will be getting induced Sunday night if he hasn't made his arrival yet! Less than a week!!! ;D
Well, Lily will be 4 in exactly a month. She's very excited about that.
And, Nubaby's due date is February 1st.
So, yeah, I'm pregnant, as confirmed this morning with a heartbeat and all. Looks like everything is going great, and I'm feeling mostly pretty good. Much better than when I was pregnant with Lily; that first trimester was horrible. As for ultrasounds, it looks like I'll have at least 100. That's the only downside for me right now; I'm going to have a lot of testing/screening/whatever. Besides my "advanced maternal age," I'm also at risk of having an "incompetent cervix." I had hoped that I would avoid the cervix issue this time as my cervix seemed to do OK with my 8 lb, 8 oz, baby, but the same risks are there, and I will have bi-weekly ultrasounds in my second trimester. But for now, everything is perfect.
If you know me on Facebook, please don't say anything there. Most of my co-workers don't know, and my whole family (except my mom) doesn't know. I feel bad for telling so many people before my family, but we're going to visit them in July, and I can't pass the opportunity to tell them in person.

Triston (8/8/2011)
He is cruising furniture and taking one or two unassisted step(s) here and there. I got him a pair of shoes finally so he can get use to having something on his feet. Birthday Party planning is in full swing and I am so excited. I am hoping to be able to get invites ordered toady or tomorrow and finish up on lots of DIY decorations.
Yay Kate!!!! Congrats! We definitely needed another BFP around here. We currently have only 1 pregnant nurse at my job too, and she is going to give birth any time now. Since I have started working there, 4 years ago, there have always been at least 2 pregosaurs, so this is unusual.
We took Ellie on her first road trip last weekend, to Cleveland. It took about 9 hours to get there with stops. We were really nervous b/c we don't have a car (we rented one for the trip) so we had no idea how she would do. She did alright on the way there, but basically refused to nap the whole weekend so by the return trip she was DONE. There was LOTS of screaming. But, we survived.
While we were in Cleveland she got to meet her great-grandpa, and we also left her for the first time - my mom babysit while H and I went to a wedding. It was great to get out but I missed her the whole time.
I can't believe she's 3 months old (as of tomorrow) already!
