I'm glad you had a good time! I told DH as we were leaving, I was surprised -- I didn't see any other Amy Ponds the whole time we were there! As for us, poor DH got sick the night before and was up until 4 a.m., so we didn't get to the con until about noon. The showroom floor was sooooo packed! It was really claustrophobic and hard to move around. A lot of booths we just gave up on getting to. It was the same for the panels. We tried to go to the Women of Marvel one and it took us like 30 minutes just to get through the food court, so we missed the start and people were already lined up for the next one, so we bagged it. I'm so jealous that you saw Ianto! We bought a few Star Wars action figures and a cute print, saw the car from Agents of SHIELD, but most of the rest of it was aimless wandering around and getting squished in the crowd, and the 30-minute wait for the ladies' bathroom. Interesting, but not my favorite experience, and not worth the $300 shoebox hotel room. Sorry to be a downer! Maybe we are just not con-savvy enough to know how to work it. :-)
Oh no, I'm so sorry he got sick! I was at Way Station until 1ish so we didn't get much sleep either.
It was super packed in the showroom, more than I expected for Sunday. A friend of a friend had a booth though so we took a breather there when it got to be to much. I get some books at Harper Collins (50% off all books!) but didn't buy anything else.
Artists Alley was much less crowded. My friend had us use the bathrooms there since there's rarely a line. I wanted a print from one illustrator but didn't want to carry it, so I got her card and am going to buy it this week.

It does help that my friend who was Storm goes every year for 3 days and has Javits memorized.
Damn, I'm wondering if we missed "Artist's Alley" altogether? We found the Javitz Center to be super-confusing. There was a part called "The Block" that was less crowded, was that different?
I LOVE that print. I'm coveting this:
And this one is awesome too although I'm not a fan of that game so I'd be a total faker to want it just because it's cool-looking. :-)

Yeah Artist's Alley was in a completely different room than the main Showroom. Which was partially why it was less crowded. You guys would have really loved it too.

Waaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!
I was telling DH that I was really disappointed, I had thought there would be more art to buy. We suck at Comic Con! DH had a Comic Con app on his phone, but the map on it wouldn't enlarge, and we didn't find the program until we were leaving. I wish they had given us one when they swiped our badge in, or at least let us know where they were. But, to be honest, DH was kind of zonked in general and I was too (we both went out at 4 a.m. to get him Tums from the bodega store, lol) so the general grumpiness didn't help with our spirit of exploration. It was fine though, we were there for about three hours, and then we walked up to the Highline which was neat.
