O.k., back to the start of the show - what was up w/ Dom being surprised that the judges didn't like Helen's outfits and even said "Now that she's not here, I really think I'll win".
I know they were friends, but really Dom? You thought HELEN, w/ THAT collection, was your competition???
ANyhow- I just knew Bradon wouldn't win. I really liked him though.
I'm not surprised about Dom winning. I really like her and I think she's a great designer, but I have to be honest - her collection kind of felt flat for me - at least compared to other stuff she did throughout the season. I was kind of hoping that Alexandria or Justin would win. Again- not surprised and not upset. It was a good collection, but maybe it was just TOO much pattern for me!
I think Dom is a better designer overall. I know they say they only go by the challenge or collection in front of them, but that's not always true. And she's sweet and was always fair and helpful to the others, which goes a long way in my book.
That said, I was rooting for Justin too, not because I don't like Dom, I love her. But Justin is so sweet and would have been a hell of a comeback story. I loved when he said "I haven't won a challenge yet, so I'd like this one to be the one I win." lol. And his eye dropper dress was one of the coolest unconventional materials looks in the whole run of the series IMO.
Alexandria's collection was cool, but I'm glad she didn't win, because I think she's an asshole. I was booing when she even made it to fashion week. Everyone else's answer to "why should you win?" was about passion and dreams. Hers was about "its my turn." No, it's not.
I also didn't expect Bradon to win, but I expected to at least like his collection. There were very few pieces from his that I liked. The one thing I liked was a patterned piece with a leather piece that brought out the brown in the fabric pattern, and that didn't even make it into the final show.
I have to be honest that I liked Alexandria's collection the best, but I'm still glad that Dom won. She was so consistent this season, whereas Alex was hanging on by a thread in a few of the challenges.
Justin's collection was similar to Alex's but not as well done. Bradon made a big mistake with that shiny fabric.

I agree with everything you said!
Alexandria - she was way too cocky for someone who didn't prove herself all season.
I liked Alexandria's collection and felt it had the most commercial potential. I get why she was top two. I understand, however, why the judges chose Dom. She created her whole look from beginning to end: prints, garments, and style. I think they saw that she had the whole package.
I liked Justin's as well. I'm kind of surprised that he was the first to get aufed from the finale (if I'm remembering right). I thought his was most innovative in concept and was very clear in that concept without being gimmicky.
Bradon's was just a yawn to me. And I didn't even get his unconventional challenge. What was it made out of?

I can't remember a finale that left me this satisfied. I was really disappointed in Bradon's collection (which surprised me because I liked almost everything he did this season), but the other three were really good. I have loved Dom all season and was so happy she won.

I liked Bradon all season and was really disappointed in his collection. I really liked Justin's and I hoped he would win. Alexandria's was good, but I'm so over her. I find her really annoying. Dom's collection was good too, but it just didn't "wow" me. I can see how their choice was so difficult!
We all that Alexandria's was terrible. It should have been between Justin and Dom. Of course, I called Dom for the win from the beginning, and I like being right.

I did not like Bradon's collection as a whole.
I always wish I could take pieces from each finalist's collection and put them together to make one collection (even if it would be not cohesive). Very few contestants on PR have been able to nail the Fashion Week collection from start to finish.

I watched the reunion show and laughed my ass off when Helen asked if she was crazy and Alexandria responded that she was. I have no idea what Helen was looking for there. I mean, when Sandro is telling you to calm your crazy, you've got issues.
I did agree that the show is "rigged" in certain ways. You can't tell me that some of those team challenges, where they decided with a button bag off camera, weren't devised to amp up the drama.
I don't usually watch the reunion shows but I had some time to kill tonight. It was a little boring hearing from the same people over and over and rewatching the more dramatic scenes. It was uncomfortable enough the first time watching Sandro rage and Ken flip his shit, I don't need to see it again!
I was glad that Dom won. With the final four it didn't seem like there was much competition. Heidi clearly loves Alexandria because she's close to Heidi's own personal style and I think that's a huge reason of why she was in the finale to begin with. I didn't care for her garments all season. Too fussy and fabricy. Plus she was 3 parts ice queen and one part wall of tears and I didn't particularly care for her. Braden's collection was interesting and unlike what we usually see for fashion week and Justin surprised me with his.
I started watching the reunion, but the first "let's look at what happened" and then the clip w/ Sandro? Ugh. I don't need to rewatch it!!!! So, I didn't.
The reunion was just uncomfortable to watch. Jeremy's tweet about Braden's proposal was just mean.
It was. I didn't like that, revisiting everyone's catty remarks about each other, or Ken and Sandro's meltdowns. And I just can't stand watching Alexandria speak. She always seems so skittish and "on guard" and dishonest.

And on the verge of tears. So strange.
YES!! So much this! She just always seems like she is going to cry. It's incredibly annoying.

She was like that all season! She's just an odd duck, which in an of itself is not necessarily bad, but it's uncomfortable to watch. And then when you're an asshole on top of it, I really do not want to see you on my TV.
