Obviously, there is still a lot of work to do: fill in the rest of the bed, mulch, raise the hanging baskets, and hide the gas meter just to name a few. There's so much more than that!
The plan is to eventually grow hops on the trellises and on twine between the trellises and to plant more native hibiscus. The tobacco is an experiment--we thought it was pretty and very inexpensive, so why not? We do not plan to cut/dry/use it; it's decorative only. If it survives winter, we may add more. Other plants? We're still thinking about that.
We replaced the garage doors! I need to take a picture of the new door later in the day when the sun is on full blast in the west.

The new picture windows (tilt-turns) and entry door should be installed by the middle of July. I should probably also take/post pictures of what we've done with the kitchen.
Here's another big change! The fixed picture windows have been replaced with 2 Marvin tilt-turn windows and one fixed (middle) window. The old windows were original to the house, but there was nothing redeeming about them. They were simply stops holding in inefficient glazing. Now, we can finally get air circulation in the living room.

Sorry about the lighting in the interior shots. We didn't have lights on at this point since we have to plug in a million lamps.
