Spoilers * * * Still too much Dana, but it got good this week! When do you think the whole "con" began? I keep thinking back to all of the Carrie breakdown moments over the past few episodes and it seems like it was all too genuine to be an act.
This episode actually made me marginally interested in Dana now. I'm guessing that Leo is using her. And it now makes me understand the SLOW build-up they've been doing w/ her and where her head is at. We'll see. It better just be worth it!
The con... so, my assumption is that Carrie and Saul came up w/ it together and clearly she had to go off her meds for it to work. I would think that what exactly Saul was going to do was kept from Carrie, though, specifically to make her reactions as real as possible.
And I think the final move of getting that order to keep her in the institution was NOT a part of the plan and I actually think that the other guy (can't remember his name) was probably the one who actually pushed for that. And Saul either let him or had to go long with it in order to keep the ruse going. And Carries reaction and telling him he shouldn't have done that is hopefully the trigger to Saul to realize that he went to far and this isn't just "Carrie, the agent", but "Carrie, the person who has a real illness".
I heard an interview with one of the writers earlier this week. The season will have 3 phases of four episodes each, so Sunday's episode was the first pivot point.
