I apologize for being MIA and neglecting the PG/TTC/Mom Update for the last month. Life has been a little crazy and it might be better if someone took over if they are willing.

I have to work on the 4th. Boooo. Oh well, it's not like A is old enough to know the difference this year. Next year I'll request off in time.

Miasmom, sorry to hear you have to work on the 4th. I've got nothing planned at this point s I might as well be working.

Jen, how is it going with D? I can imagine your hands are full!

The Cliff's Notes version of my life is that I'll be in DC for 9 months in training before leaving for Romania. The idea is that DH and the kids should join me there sometime next year. In the meantime, they'll be visiting in less than three weeks! I can't wait.

Wow!! Sounds like things are crazy for you!

We're doing well here, we booked a room at the Marriott Waterside for July 4th. Last year we were in All Children's Hospital, getting ready for Kennedy's heart surgery. I want to do it up this year and Replace the bad 4th of July memories! So despite the fact that I'll be nearly 37 weeks pregnant we'll be sending the night downtown and hopefully showing Kennedy fireworks for the first time!

cop- I hope everything is going well with training! I'm glad that your family will come visit you soon. And that is exciting that you'll all be going to Romania! How is everything in DC?

jenn8080- I like your July 4th plans, a room downtown to see fireworks sounds so nice!

Nothing is new with me aside from some small trips coming up. Looking forward to those, but otherwise just working and hanging out!

We're good other than our car has an expensive repair, and I had no one to watch the girls this week, so I dropped $300 on drop in care. :bangs head against wall:

Fourth of July: Well, I was going to get my hurr did, but since I am broke, IDK what I am going to do.

IDK how the girls will respond to the loud noises, so I think we might stay in, eat some veggie burgers and vegan potato salad. Luis will be working all day (SALE ON MATTERESSES!) so it'll be me and my Beans and Rice.

I might see if I can swing some Grey's Anatomy after they go to sleep.

I've been wondering how you were doing, cop. I saw on fb you had gotten your- is "placement" the right word?- and would be going to Romania. I can't even imagine how excited you are to see your H and kids. Has it been really hard to be away or have you been kept busy enough to make the time go by quickly?

I need to get going on 4th plans. In the past we've always spent the entire day at the beach with a bunch of friends & then stayed for the fireworks (with ds at his nana's). Now that he is older and we have Maisy, I want to spend the holiday as a family, but 10+ hours at the beach with small children isn't going to work.

Ooh, Romania! That's on my bucket list. How will your family be able to join you next year? Isn't your H assigned to his location for a certain amount of time? Will he be able to get reassigned to be with you? What's day to day life like in Romania? You must be happy to retire your abaya (sp?)? Any extreme cultural differences there? Tell me more!

No 4th of July plans here. I'd love to try to get outside to see the NYC fireworks if we can, but I'm not sure about taking the baby around such loud noises. She may be in bed by then anyway. Lame.
