I'm glad I have to go to campus, because then my 3DS can pick up other people's streetpasses. 

We have game tonight and we are playing in a Wreck It Ralph setting

We're going to open up the walking dead game I bought at comic con tonight.

And this weekend we're hosting a LAN party! But almost all the games are four player games so I'm going to probably just play Sims and let the guys play together, lol.

MY dh use to live in a huge 3 bedroom house with two other guys and would host huge lan party. Like weekly, before lap tops were cheap and powerful. They would be playing on the floor, because they would run out of room.
I feeling a little tired, our dd turned two yesterday, and decided to flip head first off our bed, so i was up till 2am to make sure she was ok. We played Ipad, and she keeps telling me shes a frog. She likes my Sims, she keeps telling me that's a baby, and a mommy, and a daddy.
So my Son is a total star wars nerd. i turned it on, and soon as the into started, he came running into the living room yelling Thank you mommy, oh Thank you I love you, and hugging on my leg. Then he went and got all his star wars toys. i don't really like star wars, but he is so cute watching it.

Our lan parties are really just H and 3 of his friends, but two of them live 2 hours away and one is in med school, so they don't get together nearly as often anymore. They were all roommates in college and groomsmen at our wedding. Luckily they were free this weekend so we're hosting the party as a distraction for our injured friend who was supposed to be running a half Ironman.

The first time I "attended" one, I summed it up as "LAN parties consist of pizza and computer problems," which is pretty much still true, but I make brownies as well, lol.

   When we were dating, i would come over and watch movies while stuffing my face. they always had the best food.

That was always our LAN parties, too.  I used to joke that we spent more time setting up than playing.  We also used to use the network computers at University and we would play Warcraft 2 on the lab computers.  It was awesome.  One game, my husband had lost every except a wizard and he kept polymorphing my dragons.  Then I polymorphed his wizard.  It's been true love ever since, lol!!

My random is that I am trying to plan vacations for next year.  The plan is to do a Disney Alaskan cruise in July, but I want to go some place in March that is warm and sunny with beaches and did I mention warm?  Winter is long, cold, and dark here and I love getting away to some place warm.  But living in Canada means travel anywhere warm is expensive.  I'm trying to decide if California will be warm enough or if we need to go to Mexico.

My dh is the luckiest man ever, he found not one, not two, but three usable Legendary items on Diablo tonight...I have none! He always gets the best items, me I have a million barbarian belts...and I play a wizard.

I have never been to a LAN party, but I tend not to play multi-player or MMORPGs, so I suppose that's why... We used to host game nights at our house, but that was more an excuse for people to play COD and drink heavily.

I'm addicted to a stupid little app called Pocket Mine. I can't stop playing!

I finished up the last of my quests and DLC's in Fallout New Vegas. I need another game. I'm thinking about going old school and starting with the first Silent Hill and moving forward from there.

We saw an official arcade machine version of Fix-it-Felix Jr. at Disney Quest last week, it was cool to see but the controls were not very responsive.

I did LAN parties with my friends in high school, it's pretty funny to think how we used to drag our giant desktop computers to each others houses.

Haha it's Demon Possession by Keirsten Fay. I picked it up during a free giveaway. There's some space demons thrown in...like I said I'm not proud of this one.

Well turns out you guys should NOT be jealous of the LAN party this weekend. They want to go to the local chili place for dinner. H tried to remind them of the gastrointestinal repercussions but they will not be swayed. I may be escaping to the bedroom with my iPad and some scented candles after dinner, lol.

Brownies are in the oven!  Anyone who promises to NOT eat chili at dinner tonight is invited to come over and help eat them later!  Everyone just finished lunch and they've just started up Diablo 3 while I was making the brownies.

Thanks for asking  It was great!  Here's the setup:



My computer is not in the picture but it's on the table in the bottom left corner  I didn't play much though.  They played a lot of Diablo mostly and watched football.  And fortunately (and surprisingly) there were no repercussions from feeding everyone chili, lol.  The brownies were gone before dinner and then I made snickerdoodles.  Which everyone insisted they "hated" while asking for seconds.    It was fun and they went to bed around 2 AM, which is actually kind of early for them.  Two of them actually got up and played some more before leaving around lunchtime the next day, lol.

One of my favorite Doctor Who fanfics was a Firefly crossover. 

Its posted above but it's not actually Firefly but it has that space cowboy thing going on. I enjoyed it lol.
