"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
Same here. But they have had french fries and the majority of their food ends up in the microwave. How does she unfreeze the purees? Oh wait, she probably makes them fresh while her genius is working on an advanced calculus work book propped up on a boppy.
You know that daycare is regularly using the microwave to heat up her kid's lunch while telling her that they're slowly heating it over a hand-sparked flame in the fire pit they have going in the staff break room.
I have a FB friend like this - sort of. She doesn't have kids yet, but she posts pics of her meal prep (free-range chicken, fresh organic herbs), and captions them with things like "...because preparing dinner is "so difficult."
And also says things (sarcastically) about how once she has kids she will just be "so busy" that she will have to resort to the drive through.
So I'm pretty sure my FB friend is the best mom ever and she doesn't even have kids yet

The fire is made from locally sourced branches that the staff gather during lunch time. They heat the food in artisanal hand blown mason jars as well. Cause Duh?

True story, I haven't ever microwaved any food for C, but it's not what you think.
We moved to the burbs from the city, where we had a newly remodeled kitchen, complete with the built in microwave above the stove.
It literally didn't cross my mind to look for the microwave when we bought our new house, and sure enough, there isn't one! It's a small kitchen, do I'm not wasting space by putting it on the countertop. It's a pita sometimes though!

I have decided my kid will never eat McDonalds either. I was just telling DH that he will have to sit there and munch on spinach while I chow my Big Mac and coke the size of my head.
Person 1: That's awesome! Mcdonalds is fake food anyways, who wants to feed their child that?! Person 2: Pink slim nuggets anyone?!?! Person 3: People are ignorant. Person 4: You're not alone. My nephew eats quinoa. Person 5: Good luck. Unfortunately our society is get it done fast and don't worry about the nutrition value of the things we eat. My hats off to you. It's a lot of work doing what you are doing. Love you!!
