Tonight at dinner, DH & I were seated next to a table of six men and they were all speaking what I guessed to be Russian.
I don't think I've ever heard someone speaking Russian other than the movies or TV.
I normally hear Spanish on a daily basis (Mom) but it's rare to hear any other languages. One time, I heard a family speaking French and they had little girl who was about 4 and she had that sweet little girl voice and she was speaking French. It was soooo cute.

Every day. We have lots of Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Korean, and Chinese students at the community college. And many Spanish speakers of all kinds. I have two students in my TR class who speak Arabic to each other as well.

Every day. Living in South Texas, Spanish is everywhere (including our house). Plus we live in an area with decent size Filipino and Vietnamese populations. My neighbor loves to bring by pans of Pancit. I won't stop her

Every day. I work at an international company, and I am the only person that isn't bi-lingual. My dads boyfriend speaks seven languages! It's so interesting to hear.
It's so weird, I always hear Asian when I get my nails done - why is that?
I just did the hand-over-mouth, big-eyed reaction to this for a second, then remembered that this was a post before and you like to make jokes. PHEW.
My answer - I usually hear non-English languages every day, so long as I actually leave the house. Multiethnic neighborhood, plus big city. Plus a husband whose first language was not English, speaking with his family on the phone and via Skype.
Pretty much every day. Spanish, Chinese (several dialects), Japanese, Indian, Russian, Vietnamese and I'm not sure what else but that's pretty much my block.
