I KNEW Tom would deny. I just don't believe that storyline is done, though. Or if it is - bad writing. But based on the guys at the end, it's not over.
Why are all the agents in this show crappy fighters? No one seems to be able to hold their own.
Why is it whenever a show takes them to a shipping yard (which, btw, I LOVE how fast they got to Houston), there is always this "OMG! It's so huge! The ___ could be anywhere!". REALLY? You THINK?
And I think that Tom is not working for Red. That's clearly what the guys of the end indicated but I thought that before. And who are those guys working for anyway?
And YES-how did they get to Houston so fast? Haha!
Don't think Tom is working for Red but not sure who he is working for. Also I think the guys bugging the house are Red's enemies or whatever, trying to figure out the connection between Red and Lizzy.
Lol, I had exactly the same reactions you did about the fighting and the port. A lot of this episode was pretty implausible. Having said that, I liked it. I was surprised that Lizzy called the FBI about Tom, but it did send that plot line off in a new direction, which was cool.
The part where the girl said that Red hired her to kill the agent made me cringe.
I do have to say that Red's hands in this... I REALLY wonder where this is going to go. He hired her, and it was also HIS guy that met Tom for the "interview". If Tom really is being set-up, this is quite the long-game that Red is playing.
But... it really makes me intrigued.
OH- but that brings up another annoying point. WHO goes to a JOB INTERVIEW in a baseball hat and casual clothes?!?!?!
Which brings me back around to where I don't think Tom is innocent.

I'm right here with you. I thought who meets someone in the hotel wearing a sweater and a baseball hat?
Overall I'm loving the show. Very interesting twist that Red hired the Russian agent to get killed and had his assistant meet the husband for an interview. Looking forward to see where this goes.
The husband has to be involved with something. He was sooo defensive and then soft when she actually called.
Oh and when they were trying to find the car bomb my husband said - just put it in the water. My thoughts were that the radiation would kill animals but apparently that concern was minimal. I think there was 1 phrase as though it was no big deal to contain the radiation in the water!
Surprised she called the FBi. And surprised they went home together at the end and went to bed with no problems? If my H believed I killed someone, I dont think we would come home together.
It must be hard for the FBi people knowing that Red continues to be a "badguy" or just that he was before and have to cooperate with him. The part where the girl said that Red hired her to kill the agent made me cringe.
Yes, WTF is with that. There are still a ton of questions. Like seriously it was a coincidence he was there the same day for the interview, what the hell. He is wrapped up in something, some how, some were. We would not have been moseying on home!

OK so a dirty bomb didnt go off in Houston but now there is "dirty water" and contaminated marine life?

BUT WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started to think after this episode that he may be being set up but WHY!
Omg I had an epiphany!!! The interview was in Boston, right, and the Russian guy was killed. WhenRed was on the phone with some middle eastern guy buying that painting he said "it deserves to be in Boston" and I thought, well that's a strange city to mention. Why not NY or Paris or DC? Well apparently that painting was stolen (In real life) with other works from Boston en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Storm_on_the_Sea_of_Galilee
I wonder how this will play in but the painting theft will be brought up again.
I'm glad others wonder why secret agents can't fight worth a damn. H and I both yelled at the TV when they got to Houston so quickly.
I think the show is pretty crappy overall, but James Spader is so good that he makes it worth watching. I do wish Lizzy could occasionally have a facial expression other than tilted-head anguish and confusion.
