H can do his job anywhere in the US and my firm has offices all over, so we could conceivably live in many places but we live here because we love it. But I would love it more if my immediate family lived here too.

Right where I am, Boston. But I'd love a home in Palm Beach for the winters. I'd also like to live in a completely different city for a year. Somewhere in Africa or Asia I think.

I'd stay in Colorado. I love it here. But I would live on a beautiful river front property in an awesome log cabin with a huge greenhouse and chicken coops and animals everywhere. And not have to work. haha
California, by the beach. I'd stay in Boston if I could, I love it here, but there's no way to afford a single family home and renting here is hit or miss.
I really like where I live and don't have any plans to move. I miss living in NYC a lot, but I'm not sure I'd do it again. I'm old and tired. I like the idea of living on the beach, but hurricanes and natural disasters scare me.
We are somewhat seriously considering a vacation home in Hawaii. Can't decide between Maui and Kauai. We would rent it out most of the year, which is what we do with our FL properties. However, if $$ wasn't a consideration AT ALL, I'd do Hawaii and then some fun European city like Rome, or Munich, Or London. Although the flights between the two would be atrocious.
People who want to live in Ireland you are crazy. You know it rains all the time there. In the winter the cold is so wet, it manages to somehow feel colder than boston winter. No jobs, lower salaries, still high cost of living . Women dress very hooker-ish. It can be a bleak place
Free university though! That was pretty nice.
I like boston or the north shore where we are now. I'd have loved to stay in the city but alas we aren't rich enough. Like tamb said I don't want to buy an apartment and we couldn't afford a house.
I want to live somewhere with discernible seasons, close to mountains, the ocean, jobs and good $ and a major airport. Here is that so here we remain

I think I'd choose northern California, like the Carmel region. It would still be a close enough plane ride to family and friends, I like the climate, the scenery is downright beautiful, and WINE. And FOOD. Awesome.
ETA: Initially I was going to say Hawaii. I love it there. But realistically, I would not want an 8+ hour flight to visit family and friends/have them visit us. Plus living in CA would cut my plane trip to HI in half, so I could go there more often

I live in a beach city of Los Angeles county. Mile walk to the beach. Beautiful weather year round. Good schools. Awesome neighbors. I have lived in Santa Monica, San Francisco and a few other Bay Area suburbs, and I will retire here. It's my fave.
