On a serious note, my MIL has had such a hard time getting "old" (and she looks really good for her age) that she doesn't really want grandchildren. :/
Which is lovely, because if H and I have kids in some state in which she doesn't live, she probably won't make it a priority to visit. And if we move closer to her, which is possibly one of our plans, she probably won't appreciate it and then I'll just be pissed.

I like to think I don't look my age and I take pretty darn good care of myself but it is effing scary.
I want grandkids and copzson is sorely trying my patience at 27 (I am kidding) but this is a pretty neat time in my life. It really does come full circle.
FYI, AARP does start sending things before your turn 50. Apparently they want you to sign up the day you turn 50. My mother was not happy to get that in the mail.
30 was okay. I think the sapphires and boots made it something to be excited about, so I didn't get too sad.
31 is coming in September. I think I will have a full on meltdown, especially b/c Jackson will be starting Kindy and I already had a full on meltdown over that yesterday when I found out it will be full day in sort of a longish half day.
I was actually less upset about 30 than I thought I was going to be. I was in a pretty good place, married with one child and another on the way, so it felt OK.
It definitely felt like a boundary between "young" and "not young" though.
copz, we can hold each other - you help me, I'll help you. I started sobbing yesterday when I read the paper about extending the Kindy day. I may have stomped my foot and said, "IT IS NOT FAIR!!!! I AM NOT READYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY."
You guys better man your battle ships when I have to leave babycopz at OSU.
I fear I may curl up and die.
FTR, you do NOT look like you're 47. Not even when you're slightly tipsy on beer at Whole Foods
And when its time to take babycopz to OSU, come by my house after. We can drink all the booze we want while you further drown your sorrows in snuggles from the Terrible Twosome and discuss Ohio State football with J until you're both blue in the face.
I was okay with 30. My dad seemed less okay with me turning 30.
Oh, except people like Wawa who say, "Yikes! Baby before I'm 30!" I got that about 6 months before turning 30 and was like, "well, crap, I don't have time to have a kid in my 20s anymore."
30 didn't really freak me out...so far neither is 31 but I've only been 31 for 9 days. I'm freaking out more about going off the pill in Sept than anything else, I think.

30 comes for Pescalita and I at the end of the summer and it's weird - I remember when 30 was OLD and now I'm there and I am old in some ways (can't quite drink like I used to) but I'm still spryish.
My Mom won't tell people how old her kids are because she's "not old enough to have kids our age." We're 31, 29, and 24; mom is 54

Hey, it's certainly not a reasonable issue of mine. And I probably wouldn't care two bits if it hadn't been for that stupid m/c last year.

Oh wawa, I'm sorry. It's something a LOT of my friends care about or have been saying recently though. Half-jokingly. I don't mind, really.
