sunglasses. If there is even a smidgen of sun in the sky I whip out my sunglasses, I can't take the slightest glare while driving. I'm amazed when I pass people on the road and the day is bright as blazes and they are driving sans sunglasses.
Its weird but I hate hate hate wearing sunglasses. I have an irrational fear of not being to see everything around me. Luckily I have heavily tinted windows.
I agree. I have super light sensitivity. Someone told me once that people with lighter eye colors are more sensitive to light, but an informal GBCN poll proved that to be false. That said, my blue eyes require sunglasses at the dentist's office because I can't handle staring directly into the fluorescent light when I'm reclined like that.

I've heard that too (from my eye doctor). I have light green eyes and H has light brown eyes. We both have light sensitivity issues.
I wear them if it's bright enough. I hate squinting. Also, the stupidest thing my friend has ever said, when I grabbed my sunglasses when I was about to drive in the winter, "Why do you need those? It isn't summer".
Well I wasn't aware that the sun in the winter isn't actually bright, reflecting off all the bright white snow and all. They're for light, not heat dumbass.

DH always wears his sunglasses. We drive to work before the sun is up, and he has them on as it's just starting to get light out. In the evenings he keeps them on after the sun goes down, literally. He does have (beautiful <3) blue eyes, so maybe thats part of the reason.
Also, has anyone ever been able to wear Transitions lenses without looking like a crazy person? I love my mom, but I still find the instant transition from perfectly nice eyeglasses to creepy dude sunglasses fairly jarring. I know this because I can see my surprised face reflected back at me every time.
H and I have discussed this. He has a prominent forehead and deep-set eyes. It's like a built-in visor. I have the most shallow-set, googly eyes. And also very little nose to provide shade. I need glasses sometimes even when it's cloudy. If I forget by sunglasses, H is basically required to hand his over.

I was making fun of these at my friends house once, and he goes "oh, you mean like my glasses?"
"Oh, no, they totally don't look stupid on YOU! My, look at the time."

Agreed! My optometrist is always hard-selling me on the Transitions lenses and I'm just nooooo.
It only bothers me if I've gotten used to wearing them and then stop, but within a few days I've readjusted.
H on the other hand cannot do bright lights at all - especially sunlight and those LED headlights. According to our ophthalmologist, his pupils are larger than normal (and he has light eyes), so his light sensitivity is pretty bad.
I wear glasses so if I don't have my prescription sunglasses I have to survive. I try to leave them in my car so I'm always prepared but sometimes the situation doesn't always lend itself to taking off one set of glasses and switching.

Blue LED lights are horrible. I can never focus on them.
Oh and some cars have weird LED brake lights. Those drive me crazy. They move around all over the place.

Yeah, my not-that-sensitive eyes hate them, too. They're like perma-high beams.

I have to wear sunglasses. It's a habit I formed when I was a teenager and would spend months sailing. I wear sunglasses in the rain. The ones I have now are prescription with polarized lenses and a very light tint, so I can actually see better with them than without them until the sun basically goes down.
If I forget my sunglasses I get a wicked headache.
