Measured in whatever time unit seems relevant to you.
I'm going on about 4 days a week, for the past few weeks.
It's 4:15am here and I'm just chillin' after having puked (what seems to be) coffee that I drank 6 hours ago.
So yeah. This isn't normal, right?! I've been to so many doctors about this, and they all attribute it to my acid reflux (I have GERD). But I've been on medication for my acid reflux and nothing is getting better.
Anyway, answer the question! And taaaalk toooo meeeee.
Gravol is my option and it makes me SO drowsy for the full 12 hours. I don't want to take the anti-emetic and be drowsy at school. Maybe I'll have to, though.
I don't remember every throwing up from being sick (possibly as a little kid but not since I was 7, my brother puked all over the car seat and I remember thinking WTF just happened. That's when I started realizing I never puke).
I've puked because of alcohol maybe less than 5 times. The last time was Cinco de Mayo, 2008 I think.
I throw up fairly often. If I drank too much I will definitely puke, but sometimes it's me pulling the trigger just to get it over with. I get a stomach bug about once a year and always puke from that.
I had something like what you're talking about. Random puking, but felt fine otherwise. Dr thought I picked up some fun bacteria while in Europe. Are you popping a lot, too?
Only with a particularly bad stomach virus, or a really bad, continuous cough, so not often at all. I threw up when I was 20 weeks pregnant because I had a really bad cold and coughed too hard, but before that the last time was when I had H1N1 in 2009 (also from coughing too hard).
Eta: I'd also puke from drinking too much, but I haven't drank to that point since 2008.
Prior to pregnancy, other than while drunk or ill, I never vomit. While pregnant, I would say maybe average of once a week...sometimes more or less.
If you're not pregnant and don't have the stomach flu, then four times a week seems really excessive. Like I'd be worried about the impact it's having on your teeth...

Almost never. 2004 from a stomach bug, 2001 from jumping back and forth from a pool to a hot tub (my body could not handle the temp changes), 1986 from some childhood illness.
Well I think the first problem is that you are drinking coffee. I have GERD too and I can barely stand any high acid foods and beverages. You should really be avoiding them at all costs. Are you taking a PPI? If you are then it might be time to try another if you are puking.
I went thru 3 months of what you are experiencing before I was properly diagnosed, got the correct meds and got it all under control. The first step though is cutting the high acid foods. Has your doctor given you any direction on what you should and should not be eating? Also, avoid carbonated drinks as well, it can exacerbate your symptoms.

I agree with this, even chocolate can lead to heartburn and reflux.

I loled at this since I'm deep in pregnancy heartburn and reflux which are water triggered, let alone chocolate or coffee. After you cut out trigger foods, you might try drinking aloe juice. It helps mt stomach but isn't pregnancy safe.
People forget there is caffeine in chocolate which can make the sphincter above the stomach to stay open and thus, heartburn and reflux. Seriously, there are so many things that are triggers and nearly all of them are delicious. lol
When I was pregnant with K, I had to fall asleep sitting up and leaning a certain direction or face reflux coming up and out. It was terrible. Hope you get some relief soon!
Rarely..I fall into the category of probably less than 5 times in last ten years and only one was due to being really sick with food poisoning. The other couple were drinking a too much and eating nothing. I almost feels as if I will myself not to puke because I hate it so much.
