I'm tentatively hoping to do: 10K on Dec 21, 5K on Jan 1, 5K on Feb 22, and maybe the DC RNR half on March 15. I'll probably end up deciding last minute for the 5K/10Ks, depending on the weather.
Ahhh, you are right. All the little islands are confusing me.
Awesome! I've been thinking about doing the half sometime. I love it down there!
I am hoping to do the Kiawah half next year. This year it falls the same weekend as a big work event. My running buddy is training to run the full. It will be her first.
The main cyclocross season runs through mid Dec. around here although it goes through Jan for the National Championships and in some other regions.
January-mid March is my time off. We have 1-2 Winter Cyclocross races that are more about the party than the race. I'll do those. Other than that, nothing. Last year I trained through the winter for Cross Masters World Championships. This year I'm looking forward to being my usual winter sloth.
Who has some lined up? I'm contemplating a 25k or possible 50k - that one would be for funsies, of course. These are in January...anyone else have winter races scheduled?
my running group has a few people doing the 25 and 50k-a good friend did the 25k last year and loved it! do it!!

Frosty 50? I've ran the fall 30k for the past few years and really like it. I'm pretty positive i'll run the 25k.

Awesome, I didn't know anything about this race till Saturday. If we end up doing it I'll report back. His other option is Huntsville, and that sounds BORING!!!

We rented a badass house on the island with 4-5 other couples. It was great to have friends all over the course cheering us on and then have a quick walk back to the house where we ate/drank/lounged all day afterwards
