When someone lists the wrong name, misspells, or gets something wrong with a fandom you love? I got all annoyed about someone listing no-face as howls moving castle in a link off of Ml. Like emailed the store to let them know with 6 different links showing them the correct info. Do you find your self protecting your fandoms more then you probably should?

All.the.time.
Harry Potter movies? No, Dobby gave Harry the information about the Room of Requirement! And the gillyweed as well, it wasn't Neville! GET IT RIGHT PEOPLE!
The seller I schooled on Anime was really nice about me putting the smack down. Cause I totally put the fear of Spirted Away fans in her! I find my self getting annoyed if in the middle of something I really enjoying then having someone come half way in and I have to explain things. I get all napoleon dynamite face and annoyed to have them come in my fandom on my time! Even with my DH, he is the worst! I am a horrible wife for how annoyed I get.
It depends. It only bothers me when a source pretending to be an authority gets facts wrong. Otherwise I vary between being amused and not caring.
I'm always amused because it seems to apply to absolutely any fandom. At work I once offered a kid a Thomas the Train sticker only to get the stink eye as he informed me it wasn't Thomas, it was Percy.
Oh my gosh, you should see the email my H wrote our security officer about a factual error in a powerpoint slide about password strength. It was kind of embarrassing, really. I try to keep my rants to people who will actually care. Or if I just can't keep it in, I'll complain to H whether he cares or not, lol.
I'm not too picky, but it does set my teeth on edge when people say Josh Whedon.
Who says that?
Note: This isn't directed toward you Myrrhine.
One of my friends says it all the time. She likes some of his shows, and she has heard his name pronounced correctly many times. But just... says Josh.
Yes. I try not to be too uptight about it especially with spelling of names. I sometimes have to look those up to see which the show is going with (like Skye vrs Sky on AoS).

One non-geeky fandom thing that irks me all the damn time is the spelling of Cristina Yang on Grey's. People always spell it Christina and it makes me grumble every time I see it.
