So, I took my littles into the Dr today, and both of them for the 6th time this year have an ear or sinus infection. How they keep getting them at the same time, or always with in a week of each other I don't know. The worse, was they had to flush my sons ear. Never again! It took me, and 3 nurses to hold him down to do it. It was so caked in his ear and super deep it actually cut it coming out. GROSS! It was so bad I almost cried how much pain he was in.
We go on the 4th to the ENT Dr, and already are talking Tubes, adenoids, and tonsil out for both. I don't want my littles to go into surgery. I know tons of people have it done, but I had a horrible experience getting my tonsils out. It makes me worry even more with what I went threw, I super worried. I hate when the littles are sick, but I really don't want to put them thew what I did.

trust me, tubes and adenoid removal were the best things we could do for our ds.
He's had two rounds of tubes, and while it's hard to think about lo's going into surgery, it has made a world's worth of difference for him.
He had his first surgery at 18 months old. Second was at 3.5. I wish we had done both, sooner. If possible, can they try the tubes/adenoids before going for the tonsils? The recover for the tubes/adenoids is significantly easier. And the procedure takes less than 20 minutes.
I don't have any first had experience with this but I know a few parents who've had their kids get tubes put in and all of them have been super happy with the procedure. Hopefully it gets better for you. It's so hard to think about your child needing surgery.
Aw, that sucks! FWIW, I had my tonsils out as a teen and looking back, I would have begged the doc to take them early. It would have saved so much pain!
Poor you and poor babies I'm sorry y'all have to go through this and I know it seems scary, but tubes may really be for the best. It sucks, but it really may help them.
I just had some a hard time with my tonis, the stitches ripped, and I clearly member my stepdad giving me a country crock tub to throw up in, and screaming at my mom to come home to take me to the Er. I was in the hospital for 3 days, and it was horrible. I traumatized thinking of that happening to the littles. It also makes it worse that they don't understand, my son is severly delayed and suffers from aprixia so I can't explane it to him like I want to. We find out on 4th if they want to do anything. They have to clear the current infection first /sigh
