We won't be eating fish sticks and custard, but it is a pretty memorable day at our house. Mr. Pom has been watching since he was a kid. They were able to get BBC broadcast from Canada to Northern Michigan in the 70's. I never started to watch until Tennant, but have come to look forward to watching.
Did anyone see "An Adventure in Time and Space"? Loved the story of Verity and Waris. Watching the story about Bill Hartnell was kind of heart breaking. Doctor Who makes me cry more often than I care to admit.
I'm thisclose to convincing DH to drive an hour and watch it in a theater on Monday.
Do it!! We're driving an hour and a half to watch it in a theater. I just have to avoid spoilers until then. It's already killing me.
Who is your favorite Doctor? 9. Or 5. But I love 11, too. Okay, really, I love every one of them that I've seen (I haven't seen some of the really old episodes. But Eccleston was when I started watching, so he's kind of "my" doctor.
Favorite companion? Donna. Or Amelia. DD's name is Amelia because of Doctor Who. Her middle name is Doctor Who related as well. She will either love us for this or hate us. lol
Favorite character of all time? Jack Harkness. River.
Favorite Episode? Of course I love the Van Gogh episode. The Girl in the Fireplace. Any episode with the Weeping Angels. Midnight. Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead--particularly watching them after you learn more about River. I love too many of them.
Favorite Doctor: I don't know that I can choose! I have a special fondness for Eight after listening to a lot of his radio dramas from Big Finish, but Nine, Ten, and Eleven all hold very special places in my heart as well. I haven't seen enough Classic Who to rank the earlier Doctors.
Favorite Companion: Total toss-up between Donna and Rory. Rory is my spirit animal, but Donna is Donna.
Favorite Character: Rose, or possibly Jack. As a one-off I really loved Vincent Van Gough.
Favorite Episode: I'm way too indecisive for these questions. In chronilogical order, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, The Christmas Invasion, Human Nature/whatever the second half of that two-parter is called, Partners in Crime, Turn Left, Journey's End, Waters of Mars, The End of Time, The Eleventh Hour, and A Good Man Goes to War.
