So I'm watching Doctor Who Revisited, the one where they talk about the Eighth Doctor (which I've never actually seen) and they showed the scene where he regenerates from Seven to Eight.
BUT DOESN'T HE HAVE TO BE INSIDE THE TARDIS IN ORDER TO REGENERATE?
River regenerated in that Hitler's office and in an alleyway, so no, I dont think he needs to be inside the TARDIS to regenerate.
True, but River was also New And Different, LOL.
But remember in the episode where the thing on Donna's back makes her never meet the Doctor? And he dies in the sewer because she wasn't there to stop him? I thought the whole point of that was he died because they couldn't get him back to the TARDIS in time. If he could have just regenerated anywhere, then why do we care that she wasn't there to save him?
To answer all of your questions, there is a full Wikipedia page dedicated specifically to the regeneration of The Doctor: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regeneration_(Doctor_Who) Of course there is!
Doctor Who is a bit like LOST; nothing *actually* makes sense, but it's such a good show otherwise that you don't really care. I am finally finished with season 4 and plan to finish season 5 on my TDay break.
