Anyone know stuff about laptops?

I'm in the market for a new one and I really like the convertible ones that switch from a laptop to a tablet.  I've narrowed it down to the Dell XPS 12 or the Sony VAIO Flip (13).  But I can't decide!!!  One review says one is better, one review says the other is better.  I've had a Dell for the past 5 years so I trust their quality, but I like the look and size of the Sony one better.  I've heard Sony customer service isn't as good as Dell's, but I haven't had any customer service issues to really compare.

I'd customize it so the technical specs are the same, but the Sony is a little lighter and it has an SD card port which the Dell doesn't have.  I don't know.

Help me make a decision!!

I have a Sony Vaio 16.6 inch gaming laptop, and I love it. I feel like Dell has sorta gone down hill the last 5 years or so.
I don't know anything about the flip, but I know my laptop has been dropped a few times, has had bad babies climb on it and its fine. The only thing I don't like is it heats up a lot, but that my fault for not cleaning it as much as i should.

I have had mine for almost 2 years, and I still love it.

Have you gone to play with them in store? I find I usually have a preference after I go try things in person
