I taking a break from holiday melt downs, sewing and decorating. I snuggled with the littles watching Dh put up our tree, lights, and such. My dd keeps telling us its pretty. The star wars Christmas special is playing, so that makes it Geeks and gamers! I use to be such a Grinch about Christmas, but now, with the littles its a lot more fun. I actually look forward to it. I am thinking of setting up a nerd theme village. Dr girlfriend post in my stocking stuffers with those metal figures got me to think about that. I hope I can do it in one afternoon to surprise my Dh. Star Wars, some Doctor, sprinkle some Dc and marvel, if i can. Or buy all the parts for next year since I have a back log of sewing gifts to finish too.
I pretty much cry all the way through Up... today I'm furiously making lists since my SIL said she couldn't do Christmas Dinner this year so I volunteered to take it on. (She was laid off in September and hasn't found a new job yet and just couldn't manage Christmas this year with everything else going on). I'll get lots of help, but I'm stuck in planning paralysis mode where there are so many things to do and I don't know where to start so I just sit on the couch and do nothing .
It's also about a million degrees below zero today so going anywhere is not very appealing.
I've had a shower, so now I'm going to go keep the boys company in the basement. DH bought a new hard drive for DS's computer because his was "so LAGGY, Mom."
I'm going to put some clothes on an make a schedule. Then maybe I'll know what I'm supposed to do!!
Just got back from despicable me 2, were my son kept telling us he needed to pp so he could go play on the video games. He had a bucket of popcorn, skittles and loved every moment. Its been rainy cold and general crappy and we had to get out of the house. I wore my pink boots, i love these things, pastel pink and lots of fuzz, they are actually girls, but they are awesome winter shoes. I wish I had my dd a pair.
Anyone want a little! My son just broke my yard stick in half while I was laying out a table runner. He picked it up, started making light saber sounds and suddenly crack! So no more work for me tonight! Maybe we will play some Diablo. Means I have to go out tomorrow and buy one. Here is hoping someone has a 50% coupon this week.
Does yours sleep? My 8yo is currently doing everything in his power to avoid sleeping. It's after 10pm and he is STILL not asleep. Grrrrrrrr.
Hell no, we try, our 4 year old is in bed at 830, maybe he falls asleep at 10. As long as he is in his room quite, and wakes up for school I just shrug. Our 2 year old would stay up till 2am and get up at 8am, I have bags that the airport would make me check under my eyes. I need more sleep.

He's normally a pretty good sleeper, I'm beginning to suspect that he's not active enough at school. It's been so cold they haven't been able to get outside for recess and lunch and I suspect he's not burning off enough energy and is maybe not tired enough at bedtime. Although, when he goes to bed late he has a hard time at school because he's too tired. So he needs the rest, he's just determined to stay up, for some reason. Sigh.
