Happy Friday everyone! I found out today - Maternity Jeans For the Win! I got a pair of Indigo Blue jeans (in petite!) from Motherhood maternity on sale last week and today is my first day wearing them - they feel awesome and so much less constricting then my regular jeans. I'm basically in all maternity pants now even though I'm not showing, but they just feel so much better. Plus it's awesome to be able to find petite pants at MM since I'm so short.
My work christmas party is tonight but I'm not going - instead of having the party in the afternoon with just the work staff which is usually a lot of fun, the party this is year is a fancy dinner/casino night for staff plus spouses/significant others at a hotel, after work, which means driving 30 minutes home, changing, driving all the way back to the hotel which is right near work, eating crappy food (we have the party at this hotel every year and the food is horrible). I just don't enjoy having to drive so much back and forth (I would have to go home before to meet H and let our dogs out and feed them), I have nothing that fits me right now in my bloated state, plus no alcohol and 5 more hours around coworkers just isn't my idea of fun. Plus H isn't really a social guy, so people used to ask me "why is your H so shy?" at work events - he's not shy, he just doesn't have a lot to say to people he's never met before. So I'll be enjoying the evening at home with homemade chili on my couch watching a movie with H - it's freezing outside so I'm happy to get home, put on my sweats and not go out until the next day.

I'm heading into work for a few hours.. Today is my last day in the office until after P is born, it is also DH's last day at work for 4 weeks.
We have zero plans this weekend, which is super exciting! DH has had something to do every weekend since the beginning of October. I am over running around all weekend, every weekend.
Our only plans are to go to my office, get all my crap, and set it up at home so I can work from home easily. I am/can work from home now, but I have a lot of stuff in my office that will make it much easier.
I had the bright idea to wear compression socks today to see if that helps with the swelling I'm having in my feet/legs. DH was a champ this morning and helped me put them on, lol. Poor Guy.

So happy today is Friday! I have 4 work days next week before a 2 week vacation! We have our department luncheon today. Question: can I have a French dip sandwich? The lunch meat rule confuses me. We are also signing our final refinance paperwork tonight. Hooray for saving money even though it will go towards baby stuff.
I am sitting at the mechanics while my oil is being changed. Baby is kicking away and I'm happily enjoying it when all of a sudden she gets her little foot hooked around the underside of my lowest rib bone (?)....NOT COMFORTABLE BABY. Knock it off!
It scares me that she's already big enough to reach her feet up there and I still have 10 more weeks to go. Yikes!
Not much planned for this weekend other than wrapping gifts. I always bake, but I just don't have the energy this year. Hoping this baby decides this weekend is a good time to be born
My DH is taking a half day, so we are driving to the awesome mall in KOP and going Christmas shopping for each other! We aren't big into surprises, so this is going to be awesome for us. We'll have a nice dinner too. We don't have many others to buy for, so the day is going to be all about us.

I love KOP. My ILs aren't far from there but I haven't been in a while. Have fun!
We're having friends over tonight for a casual get together. Should be fun but I'm still bummed that DH has to work late, so he's basically showing up with the guests. GRrrrrr.
Cookie exchange this weekend - I will EAT EVERY COOKIE!
I've been really sluggish lately. I need to find my energy again because there's too much to do before this baby arrives.

We are hosting a Christmas party tomorrow with a bunch of friends, so tonight and tomorrow morning will be spent cleaning the whole house. I tried to break it up into small tasks each night this week but I had no energy to do anything. So I'll be scrambling now. I'm also kind of anxious about being the only one not drinking because that usually means I sit around and worry about people getting too drunk or overly messing up my house...I'm hoping I can just relax and enjoy it.
I also have a hair appointment scheduled for Saturday afternoon which I'm really looking forward to!

I was up throwing up last night and my stomach feels kind of iffy this morning. Time to play pregnant or stomach flu? Did anyone's morning sickness return again at the end of pregnancy?
Dr. gave me a thumbs up on the ultrasound. He said the baby is chubby but nothing he's worried about. They think he is already 6 pounds though
I'm glad it's the weekend. I am pretty close to done with Christmas shopping and we are planning on going to see the Hunger Games tomorrow. I am pumped!

This is promising - I need new maternity pants since the bloat is reaaaally bad right now, and I have a hard time finding jeans that actually fit!
My random is that I am freaking starving. I forgot how hungry you get! Must. Eat. NOW.

hokiegirl82: I have those same jeans, and they have been my go-to this whole pregnancy.
disappointedkittens: I got nauseous and vomited a few times in the week leading up to labor with DD. I know people who have had it return earlier in third tri.
DD had her school Christmas program (if you can call it that with 2-year-olds) this morning. It was super cute. I am making a friend who just had a baby dinner tonight and have no plans for the weekend other than getting caught up on work and doing things around the house in anticipation of my parents' arrival next weekend. I am officially in the totally lazy/waiting for baby stage now.

I think glauren's MS returned - maybe crazygame too. I'm not sure which one to hope for. I just hope you feel better!
Any chance your EDD should be sooner than predicted? Were you charting?

I never had bad morning sickness, but I got sick last weekend. I think I ate too much rich food because the next day I was able to keep down fluids & bland food. Make sure you get lots of rest!
disappointedkittens, do you have any other sick-y symptoms? Fever, bathroom issues? I hope it's just a random thing for you. (Side note: I had to edit my tag three times to get your user name right!)
Stingyshark, yay for no more coming into the office!
I hosted a cookie exchange last night and it was one of the most fun evenings I've had in a while. I love my girlfriends. I didn't even miss the wine. I made the lemon-ginger cookies simpsongal posted to my cookie thread this week and they were really delicious.

Yay - I'm glad you liked them! They're very simple in terms fo flavor but I think they're delicious. My family couldn't stop eating them last Christmas. I'm making them for my exchange too.
Did you get any really good cookies at the exchange? Any recipes you think are worth sharing? I'm always looking to add another good cookie to my repertoire.

I'm starting to feel a little big
Not helping my confidence - a new client ran into me this morning and didn't realize I was an attorney. He said the attorneys usually dress so nice...
Major foot in mouth disease on his part but still annoying. FWIW, I'm wearing maternity jeans, a casual top, and cardigan. So a little dressed down but it's also a Friday.
simpsongal, everyone really liked the cookies. One of the big hits of the evening was the peanut butter cookies stuffed with mini snickers bars. They were decadent and amazing. On a different note, boo on that foot-in-mouth comment!

Thanks for the feedback ladies! I'm feeling a little better this aft. Still kind of nauseous and dizzy but no fever or anything I'm hoping it's just an off pregnancy day and no flu
simpsongal - I was charting and they did a 10 week u/s to confirm and it ligned up with charting dates so I'm pretty sure it's right. Also? Ignore that guy, I bet you look adorable and just the appropriate size
D2M - I should have used spell check before signing up for an account here lol. Oops!

My cousin, who got married in October, just sent me a text that said "guess what?"
Obviously, I knew what was going to follow! She got pregnant on her honeymoon. Her sister just had her first baby last month. So excited for my family!!!
Slow going so far. The good news is that I'm having regular contractions but I don't really find them painful. Everyone was surprised when I said I didn't really feel much. It's just more pressure than anything. They just upped the pitocin a few minutes ago.
Awesome, not very painful is fabulous news. Can't wait for baby Merida!

see I love posts like this, I feel like a lot of induction/pitocin stories are doom & gloom. I am glad you are having a positive experience so far! Can't wait to see pics of the baby!
H and I are going out to dinner and a movie. It's our first date night in like, 3 months. I am SO excited. I might even put on some makeup. lol.
My sister comes home from school tomorrow and is home for 3 whole weeks! Again, I am SO excited to hang out with her and spend some quality sister time together.
I still haven't bought H anything for Christmas. oops.

Baby watch has started. I've been checking everyday to see if you post at least once. Your days as a pregnant lady are numbered. So excited for you!!!!!!
