I voted 1x/week - but it really depends. sometimes I'm better and can go to 1.5 - 2 weeks. other weeks I feel like I'm there every other day on my way home from work....
About once a week. I think we would probably save more if we did fewer trips and if DH stayed home. We spend way too much on groceries as it is, but the bill is always at least $50 higher when DH comes (which is often).
I usually end up going 3x a week to restock on milk for the kids and fresh produce and meat. I don't know if we spend less this way but I know for sure we waste less.
We go once a week - we go every Sunday, because I can gas up my car, get a free newspaper with a tank of gas, clip a few coupons from the paper, and then make our dinner menu and our list. The list and menu planning helps more than anything with saving some cash. I find if I go any less frequently than that, I overbuy and stuff goes bad - we eat a lot of fresh produce, which makes it harder to stock up.

I try to make it 2 weeks, but sometimes have to run by the store in between for produce or eggs or something. So I chose 3x/month on average.
This is not counting DH's "snack runs" when he randomly decides that he wants Cheetos and a Mountain Dew or something equally horrible. These are all to frequent in our house (and I am trying to put an end to it). I think it's a habit leftover from college.
I really try to buy everything I need for the week in one shopping trip because I feel like that is the most logical, but in reality I usually end up going every day for the things we need for that night. Sometimes when I try to buy everything at once, I freak out because I am worried that I am spending too much money. Grocery shopping makes me anxious, especially when H comes, lol.

I voted for weekly, because ideally that's what we do. If I don't do my weekly trip we end up at the store several times a week spending much more than we would otherwise.

DH goes to the grocery store usually once a week, but I do some combination of CVS/Walgreens/Target/WalMart several times throughout the month as well.
Which do you find saves the most money? I feel like when I shop more often, I spend less, and less goes to waste. What do you think?
this is absolutely true for us. i do one bigger trip every 10-14 days and h picks up little things as needed on his way home from work. our schedule is always changing so i don't buy produce and perishables until we need them.

I go on a bigger grocery shopping trip once a week, but I sometimes go again mid-week to pick up more fresh produce, milk, or meat. We run out of produce too quickly to go grocery shopping less frequently.

I voted once a week which is true but we also go a few time's a week for milk and produce ect.. whatever we run out of I have four kid's and my 15 year old eat's like a grown man. I would day that we try and spend 100 and under a week and most of the time do it we coupon and find the best deal's even if I have to go to 10 different store's. For a family of 6 I think we do well.
several times a week. I never know how many 2,3 or 4 are gonna be there for dinner and when I shop ahead there is waste. I work right by 3 big grocery stores so I go on my lunch hour.
We do one primary trip each week, but I always end up stopping in for a few things at least one other time each week. I voted a few times a week for little things. I'm not a meal planner and when I do try to plan, I end of changing my mind and produce goes to waste. It works for me right now.
I try to do a loose meal plan so that I'm not buying stuff we don't need/running out of stuff in the middle of the week. I don't plan it out to the day, but I get a general idea of a few things I can make.
Sometimes I need to go out in the middle of the week for something like milk or bread, but not every week.

Once a week saves us more money. I don't like meal planning for more than one week at a time. So if I go less often than once a week, I end up making two to three trips to pick up stuff to tide us over until the next planned trip.
