I reallllllllly can't handle the long intense monologues that Shonda loves SOOOOOOOO much. When Rowan was reaming Fitz in the torture chamber I just sighed and rolled my eyes. The writing is just too much for me at times. Greys can be like that too for me, it's her signature style but god it irks me.
I am not really loving this season. Partly because it's been more violent but also because I just feel like the storylines are really outrageous.

WELL. I just watched and feel kind of mentally drained.
I find the dynamic between Cyrus and his husband very twisted and disturbing. I hate the way Cyrus uses the baby his husband wanted so much as a pawn to get him to stay. I hate the way Cyrus uses the threat of his political connections as a tool to keep the marriage "in tact". I almost can't blame the husband for using it to his advantage for his career and to keep the baby.
Scott Foley is sexy.
Huck is so deeply damaged I feel sad anytime he speaks.
Olivia's dad finally seemed like her dad after his "you are a boy" speech to Fitz. I can picture Olivia giving a speech like that should the situation arise.
Once again Scott Foley is SEXY. Jennifer Gardner was dumb.

Oh man, I thought this was the best part! Fitz was straight up nasty telling Olivia's dad about knowing how she tastes & deserved that epic verbal smackdown. I usually love Fitz, but NO - that was just way over the line.
I just hate that there is an epic monologue in EVERY episode. The content of what he said was great but I am tired of her writing style. It loses its punch when you have am angry rambling monologue every week.

I'm so over B-613 and the Huck/Quinn storyline. The whole torture scene 2 episodes ago pissed me off. Instead of ripping out her teeth, maybe let her talk. I just find it incredibly unbelievable that he enjoys torturing/killing so much that he can't even control himself when it's someone he actually cares about.
Ugh. This whole season has just been a giant letdown. The storylines are just so outrageous, but that's typical Shonda Rhimes. Grey's has had so many ridiculous storylines.

however I am still addicted!
What Rowan going at Fitz was the best part. He took out all of his black rage on an entitled white boy. BOY. That was the best. Check out the CEP post on this episode.

I hope iammalcolmx doesn't mind me popping her sig in here:
ROWAN MUFUGGING POPE FOR THE ENTIRE WIN!!!! LEMME JUST TAKE THIS MOMENT TO RUN AROUND MY HOUSE!!! That was a lesson in white privilege in America, and that was a READ to all the Fitzes out there. Those who happen to think they’ve done well for themselves when they’ve really been propelled to where they are because of their last names and their fathers. And every time Rowan called Fitz a “BOY” an angel moonwalked. Because yes.
