I wouldn't have any problem doing it, but the chances are pretty slim, since I always pair up my socks when I'm folding the laundry.

Yes. I also wear mismatched socks when I go out, as long as my footwear will 100% cover my feet.

I haven't mated my socks since junior high.  As long as they are the same shape and thickness, they are good. Right now I have one orange tie dyed sock and one pink tie dyed sock.

All of my socks are the same style and colour. Problem solved. I wear slippers without socks at home, though, unless I'm really cold.

Yes and I have. I have even worn mismatched socks out in public when they are not showing (I am wearing boots or other shoes that don't show my socks). Sometimes I inexplicably cannot find matching socks when I get ready in the morning.

I keep all of my mismatched socks in a drawer and match them every once in a while. So no, I wouldn't. But not because it horrifies me or anything.

I couldn't care less if my socks match, apparently mismatched socks is a mortal sin in my husband's eyes.

There was an episode where a guy labeled his socks, like L1 and R1 and L30 and R30.

He wanted his wife to match up each pair when she was putting them away so one sock was never "more worn" than the other.

I was all "WTF?!?" And my husband was all "OMG. What an amazing idea!"

They match for the first few weeks after I organize my sock/underwear drawer and finally go through the "socks that came out of the dryer without a pair" basket, but it goes downhill from there. It's a bit of a bell curve.
