Advice for a new show...

I finished Star Trek, then watched torch wood, just finished doctor who. I need a new show on netflix to get into. Has anyone watched Farscape? Or do you have any suggestions for a scifi tv show.

Firefly or the new Battlestar Galactica. Both are on Hulu Plus, so they're likely on Netflix too.

I've seen scattered episodes of Farscape. It's never really held my interest though, even when I tried to watch it from the beginning.

Have you watched Supernatural? It's really more horror than sci-fi (although not particularly scary), but it's fun, and I know Netflix has it from the beginning.

This is a total throwback, but have you ever watched Red Dwarf? It's British comedy sci-fi. Highly entertaining, if you like that sort of thing.

Netflix has all the X files seasons.

We're watching Supernatural right now and I really like it. Halfway through season two.

Red Dwarf is great but the later episodes aren't quite as good.

Farscape is good, but you need to start at the beginning.

Can't go wrong with X files or Supernatural. This is a throw back but Sliders I think is still on Netflix. I loved that show:)

I've seen every episode of supernatural, I love that show, waiting for the new episode in Jan. I liked terranova, but it was only one season... Bummer.

Not really a geeky show, but I think everyone should watch Coupling. Great British comedy! And Better Off Ted, it's hilarious!

Better off Ted got the shaft from abc. It was the best comedy they had in their line-up and they did shit to support it. #yesiamstillbitter

The cafe is another great one on British tv, it's sweet and the people are adorable.

I don't know if it is not Netflix, but Battlestar Galactica is like crack. It didn't end well, but it's well worth watching. Have you seen Firefly? All of X-Files (or at least the Mulder/Scully seasons?) Otherwise, I haven't seen Supernatural, but people seem to like it. I understand Teen Wolf just went off Netflix, that one seems popular too. For comedies I agree with Coupling, the British version of the Office, and Better Off Ted. I've heard "The IT Crowd" is really good too, but haven't seen it. Luther is really good -- it's drama/thriller/mystery though, not SciFi. And of course BBC Sherlock. I don't care what kind of recommendation you're asking for, I'll always rec Sherlock. :-) And since I'm straying off your question anyway, we just started watching "The Hour" and it's fantastic. It's only available on disc, though, not streaming.

Thanks ladies, I've heard a lot about battle star galactica, so I may watch that one. I also watched V and thought it was great, really bummed it was cancelled.

I know I don't post here (was told about this board on April 2012) but wanted to just throw the Misfits out there! Great British comedy where a bunch of teens doing community service get struck by lightning and get special powers. I watched until the character Simon left the show.

Fringe was really good. Chuck is a fun comedy.
And Orphan Black is the best show I've seen this year.
