What are your plans for tonight? Are you all excited? I for one loooove New Year's and am excited even though unfortunately H and I are working separately and won't get to celebrate together. Womp womp.
Hey all! We're in Italy with the ILs. DS and I are both suffering from a nasty cold, so it's going to be a quiet night. Dinner at MILs and then bed! Hope the fireworks don't keep us up all night.

Well, I'm just about 10 minutes away from clicking over my year. And after a kiss for DH, I'm headed to bed. I am so not a night owl!
But for a celebration we had a Creole-Italian feast in honor of my mother's birthday (and the family meal at her favorite Creole-Italian restaurant) featuring baked spaghetti, eggplant sticks, thin garlic toasts, and vanilla ice cream with cinnamon cream.
Later we watched some episodes and broke into the box of Cheerios for some Hot Buttered O's and celebratory glasses of Lime-Ginger Cider.
Best wishes to all for a safe, happy, and healthy 2014.
We are staying in. Have some finger foods (met a couple of friends for a late lunch today), snacks, wine and bubbly for later. Once the kids are in bed! Dd1 will be heading to bed in the next 5-10 mins and dd2 will have a bottle in an hours time. So, not very exciting at all... May not make it to midnight...

Happy New Year! My LO stayed asleep through all the noise of the huge firework display. I am so happy! My life is boring now but I do love some sleep. Happy 2014!
Woops, late to the party, here. We stayed in and watched reruns of Location Location Location (though I refuse to watch any episodes set in London because they give me poorness palpitations). It was kind of lame, but this year there are renovations, so we didn't have access to the roof, and there is no way I was going to fight the drunken crowds down by the river.

Um, I went to bed at 10:30pm. Lame. But I knew the girls would be getting up at their regular time, and I don't really get the excitement around NYE, so I left DH with his brother, SIL, and grandma to ring in the new year. I did come down at midnight for a few minutes when the fireworks woke me up.

Super late to this....but we had a small party at our house for NYE. It was a lot of fun!
I had small appetizers, and made dinner for about 13 friends of ours. Some people left to go to other parties at 9:30 or 10, but there were a few of us who stayed up til midnight and rang in the new year together!
I like NYE! I just tend to prefer to stay home or hang with friends as any hotel party is always overpriced and overrated!!!
