We usually have whole milk in our fridge so that'll work. I know fat isn't technically a bad thing but WW points aren't exactly friendly for anything high in fat but on my long run days I'm trying to get past the points mentality and just eat what helps when I am done running. I usually have a clif bar and a bottle of gatorade.
That's like the least tasty of all the chocolate milks. Horizon sucks!

I don't do dairy, so after long runs, I do a smoothie (vegan protein powder, frozen fruit, water, and spinach). If I am lazy I will just mix pp with almond milk and have a couple of clementines. If it's a long run (over 14 miles), I try to get a "quality" meal 2 hours after that. Last weekend it was veggie chili. Yum!
I always find the day after a long run is the worst. If I force myself to eat some protein after a long run I think it's not as bad but I really have to force it down. I'm usually not hungry at all after running long
Yes!! This!! I eat like a horse the day after. also, i LOVE almond milk. Unsweetened. Straight after a run I drop a couple of high5 Zero tabs in a sports bottle of water. It's super refreshing. Replaces all the electrolytes and stuff.
