Oh no! Now I feel bad for suggesting he switch his interview day! But just try to keep calm, and remember that he most likely has plenty of time to get back before things get serious.

Hang in there!! Hopefully you will have a long enough labor for him to get home. My exMIL drove from San Francisco to LA when I was in labor and still had hours and hours to wait before ds was born (just sharing that to keep you hopeful).
I know your first instinct is probably to panic, but try to stay calm- especially as a first time mom (I think you are?) the statistics show that you have plenty of time. Let us know if you need anything, and keep us posted!
I have a magnet on my fridge that says "Dont worry, everything is going to be amazing." Just think good thoughts and let the time pass until you're with your people. You can do this!
You've got this - worst case the board will walk you through an at-home birth.
Your mom is on her way and so is your H - this is going to be fine! Take a shower, eat something light, and double check your bags. Once you get done with all that, one of them will be at your house (or super close, at least).
So excited for you - you're going to have an outside baby soon!
Ahhhh good luck and safe driving to your husband! So exciting. If it's any consolation re: timing, my sister's water broke and it still took more than 12 hours from water breaking to her delivering my nephew -- and this was her second baby.
Good luck!! Well you knew it would happen when he's gone. At least the roads/traffic are cooperating. I'm sure he'll be there before anything exciting happens, especially if you aren't having contractions yet.
