If you are doing anything else (and don't have the small business prime account), well, that's cheating. That is what raises prices for the rest of us.
So unless your other family members are your H and your children, what you are doing is not kosher IMO.
Meh.
I had no idea the rule was for households only. My dad has been sharing his account with us for....ever?
May I ask what you buy? I just joined and I've had a hard time finding well priced S&S items. The prices seem decent, but I could do better at Costco.
I'll answer: best prices hands down on my favorite deodorant and face wash. Also my favorite oatmeal. And tampons. And baby wipes (the brand I like). Also it's just so convenient.
I was really excited when I read this because I need tampons and hadn't had a chance to get them.... but then I went on Amazon and so many of them were add-on items. Fuck that, Amazon. From what I've seen browsing lately, changing things to add-on may be where prime loses me.
We were finally talking about getting Prime, but we definitely won't for $100+ month. We just don't order enough stuff to make the free shipping worth it. Like others said, I would just wait until my cart has enough to qualify to ship free.
For those of you that order so much, doesn't all the extra packaging bother you? If your ordering tampons and toothpaste, I assume that is coming in a box? Boxes drive me crazy, maybe because our recycling is only picked up every other week.
Yes. Drives me crazy. We take our trash ans recyclables ans the amount of cardboard during Xmas was insane.
How are they willing? The rules state it isn't allowed. That is like saying it's ok to steal from someone's home because they left the door unlocked.
No. In this case the subscriber provides information regarding the other members. Amazon knows where everyone lives. They can reject the the application for membership. They have the ultimate say who gets to be part of prime and who doesn't. If they don't reject it then I think it's safe to assume they are okay with it.

Also, they changed it a few years ago. Back when I joined, it didn't say same households only.

Yeah, that's what I thought. My dad added us to his prime account years ago.

I think this is pretty hilarious coming from the person who was all judgmental over people getting actual deals from other companies like HD and Ruum.
I assume now that you know the T&C say it's per household, you'll be dropping your add-on membership.

Nope. I've been grandfathered in under the older rules.

Lol. I wonder what amazon would say when you ask them. Because you surely did that right after learning the rule change. I mean, you couldn't possibly decide what you're doing is ok just because someone didn't tell you otherwise. Because that would be...exactly what everyone else here has done on other occasions when you lectured us.
To be clear, I don't care. I just find your hypocrisy hilarious.

And when was I judgmental about the deals?! I was judgmental about people who were, in one breath, judging the Walmart shoppers using their EBT cards on the stores error, and in the other breath buying $10 standmixers from Home Depot, or whatever.
Nope. I've been grandfathered in under the older rules.

Your facts are wrong.
My apologies. I confused your common sanctimony with your failed attempt to point out others hypocrisy in that thread.
That said, I eagerly await the response from Amazon to your unilateral deceleration of your being "grandfathered" out of their policy.

I'm done with you.
Is this like a forever thing? Or are we talking just for today? I know you're into your sweeping declarations but I just want to know where you're at the next time you hop into the fray.
