Has anyone heard if her baby arrived safe and healthy? I'm not trying to nose for details, but it's been awhile since her last update and I hope all is ok. I'm just anxious for her I suppose.
Thinking of you & sending my prayers and good wishes shelbyann!
I always get anxious waiting for these updates. I'm sure it's just because she's busy snuggling that beautiful little girl, and (rightly so), we are the furthest thing from her mind. I just hope she finally got a break, and things went well.
Thinking of you, shelbyann! We can't wait to "meet" her when you are ready to share her with the world.
TL;DR version - 50+ hour labor, scary delivery, baby born blue and not breathing but going to be fine, still in NICU but hoping to bring her home this afternoon. Hardest thing I have ever done hands down, marathons are not even close.
OK, I totally just teared up reading that. I am so sorry you had such a scary experience (that's where the tears started, even though I knew she was OK! lol), but I am so glad that she is here safe & sound. She is gorgeous. Seriously, you would never know she had such a tough entry into this world, she is a peaceful, beautiful, little bundle of perfection. Congrats!
ETA: I love her name, especially her mn. It was my mom's mom's name, and DH knows I want to use it as a mn, if & when we have a girl.

Congrats!! She is gorgeous! Such a scary moment when she was born, your birth story had me in tears.
Hang in there with the breastfeeding (and the hormones)--it is not easy. Newborns can really take a while to 'get' how to breastfeed and it takes a lot of effort for them to suck hard enough at first. Keep trying to get help from a LC, eventually things will click for you two.
Hang in there with the BFing. I had the same situation at first with DD wanting a bottle of pumped milk (and with her being in the NICU when she was born). DD figured out how to latch/suck eventually, just give it some time.
