Snow. Again.
MRI of my wrist Monday, where they will either declare it a fracture and cast me or declare it a sprain so I can go back to work/the gym/yoga/spinning. I think it's a fracture though, which means March will be continued medical leave.
And by the end of March...open windows? Sometimes? Dare we hope?
So, tomorrow I need to run in the neighborhood of 14-16 miles. I totally skipped my long run last week because of weather/work/schedule craziness. If I want to have a chance to meet my race goals I really need to get a decent long run done. (Obviously).
Weather tomorrow? Low of -21, High of -4 and 10+ mph wind. Meaning it likely won't be above 20 below windchill all day. Sunday looks the same.
I'm thinking I'll try to run as long as possible outside, then finish on the treadmill. Unless anyone has any really awesome audio books or movie to suggest for about 2.5 hours on the TM??
I know it won't be as bad as I'm making it out to be, but I just want some warmth back! I am honestly enjoying training, but the winter is getting so old.
I sincerely apologize for complaining about the below freezing (NOT zero) cold we had for about 1 day... holy crap. I don't know how you're surviving this! I'm horrible with audio book suggestions but I hope you survive!
- More snow this weekend - Higher milage for my Half training - DH's birthday with a surprise Pens hockey game for him! - Hoping to find a 5k so I can make another attempt at a sub30
My initial post was pretty whiny, so here's a few more things March will bring.
- Longer runs - Lent - Starting seedlings indoors for the garden - Hopefully much warmer temps...
Fun to read everyone's!
Same here
We actually have nothing goign on in March otherwise. The past 2 have been crazy, I'm so excited to have a quiet month at home! I hope to have a good month getting my mileage up.
