Haha - I read your title and was like... um, typo?
I can't wait for them to start, though, and I suppose cool and rainy is better than blistering hot, which is how it usually is for the summer games. I watch most of the equestrian events, and they usually have to schedule them for early morning or late evening hours. It'll be a change for them to actually be held during regular daylight hours! Of course, the rain is not so cool, but there aren't many events that will be cancelled because of rain, right? I think a lot of them are held anyway as long as it's not a downpour or thunderstorm.

I'm bored of it all. That's all that has been talked about for years and I'm just over it. I have a strong feeling that it's going to fail miserably, which will sort of make me laugh. But, hopefully for the sake of the economy, the weather will become less shit and the Olympics wont suck.
I'm done with it too... even though we're in Ireland and not UK we have the main UK tv stations and yes, they have been going on and on about it for years. Even the Irish government have been saying that Ireland will benefit from the Olympics (training camps... team bases?) but it hasn't really materialised.
One item on the main evening news last night was about a coach company whose entire fleet of coaches headed off to London at 6am yesterday in convoy to work at the Olympics and the drivers were really excited and going to be away for 5-6 weeks... and it's the only coach company in Ireland who got a contract like it. They will be used to ferry athletes around the place...

I'm a fan of the Olympics generally, I haven't been too good about watching the Winter Olympics since I was a kid, but I used to love figure skating. I should try to watch Sochi.
I've been good about catching most of the Summer Olympics over the years. I remember being in London and voting for it to get the Olympics back when I lived there. I remember beating out Paris for the top spot. From what I've read, Madrid may well get the Olympics sometime "soon". It is a candidate city for 2020.
In the summer, I especially like watching horse riding and gymnastics as well as some of the water sports and fencing. I like watching random different sports too whenever I catch them like women's weight-lifting or competitive sailing or whatever is on when I feel like it.

I couldn't care less about the Olympics. The only thing I'm excited about regarding the Olympics is that my dad will be going there and will fly through Amsterdam and will be bringing me my new kindle! Yay!
I'm not a sports fan at all, in fact I really really dislike professional and competitive sports. I grew up with them as my dad has always been active, which has truly turned me off.
I feel bad for everyone who's made it their vacation and will have sucky sucky weather, and the outdoor athletes who didn't want to nor expect to be competing in the fall/winter
I LOVE the Olympics, LOVE. I have books, magazines, and videos which I taped off the TV from the 90s of the Olympics which are still in my parents house.
We have tickets to the Olympics and ParaOlympics. I am also in the Paraolympics opening and closing ceremonies and we are having a 30th b-day/ opening ceremony party for my H on our river bank then going to Victoria to watch the big show on the big screens.
I saw my first athletes the other day and was really excited. I also am excited to see the people with their badges and matching jackets walk around. I'm a huge dork. I also take tons of pictures and look like a tourist even though I'm not.
