Why do I read posts that I know are gross?

There is a laundry related poll on MM and the first question is about how long you go before washing your sheets.

I just knew someone would say once a month and I knew it would gross me out but I still read it.

There are tons of people who never wash jeans. Some freeze them between wears. I can't handle it.

What is wrong with people! :-| Why can't people use a clean fresh out of the cupboard towel every day and wash sheets at least once a week. I come from a family of 8 kids. We had clean towels and sheets dammit. We didn't have a cleaning lady or a maid and we made it happen.

I don't use a fresh towel every day... that seems like a waste of towels. My body is CLEAN when I use the towel. it stays good for at least 3 showers! I do change our hand towels daily or every other day though. Mostly because I wipe my face on it after i brush my teeth, and don't want hand germs on my mouth.
my sheets get changed every week or 10 days if I'm lazy. I feel like that's normal.
Jeans, are 3 wears MAX.

A fresh one every time because why? I should be, theoretically, at my cleanest when I get out of the shower. I mean, I just showered. How am I making my towel dirty?

So by freezing the gross jeans they never have ever washed does it help the smell? Or does the freezing preserve the structure of the jeans?

I wash my jeans after I wear them once.

I'm gagging over the petri dish people put in the freezer that holds the food they eat.

If you are going to bother freezing them, why not just wash them? I get maybe that I am too much of a clean freak, because I wash them after one wear, but I can't for the life of me figure out why freezing sounds like a better suggestion than washing.

When I lived in Colorado is was really dry so towels would be good for 3 days!

Now in Connecticut I feel like they NEVER dry out and start to smell yucky within a day

So if you live where it's humid you do sometimes need new ones daily.

ALSO I am SO happy you use the handtowel to wipe you face too! I always thought I was the only person who did that HAHA

I am still not over the yeast infection/panty liner thing. I don't know if I will ever get over that.

I must be a clean freak & a water waster because I do at least one load of laundry a day if not more.

I can't find the thread. Basically what was said is someone went commando a lot, but if they had a yeast infection they would wear a panty liner when they tried on pants at the store.
