I HATE it when people say butthurt.. It instantaneously pisses me off. I have no idea why it just makes me mad.. Does anyone else have a word or phase that just makes them mad? or am I ridiculous?

Most of the ones that make me cringe are incorrect usage, like irregardless. Or seeing an extraneous apostrophe. That happens a lot around here, and I cringe every time.

One of my college professors called her baby ( singleton pregnancy ) they or them when she spoke of the baby so she didn't refer to baby as it.

I see nothing wrong with just calling the baby baby.

I think this must be an accent thing. If ah = a as in apple to you, that's not a sound I make all that often. If I hear Nevaaaaahda or Coloraaaaahdo I think it sounds all nasal and weird. So, we mutually make each other cringe
