I was 2 years, 4 months. I remember not being allowed to be with my mom (post emergency c section) in her room at home, even though my brand new sister could. I thought we should get rid of the baby so I could be with my mom.
But I also loved getting to sit on the couch next to my mom and hold our new baby with her.

I remember when my brother was born. I was 2.75. What I remember is wanting a drink from the pitcher of water my mom had by her bed and my dad trying to show me my brother in the nursery window and not being able to tell which one he was.
I don't remember when my first brother was born (I was 2 years and a month old?) but I totally remember when my youngest brother was born because it was a week and a half before my 7th birthday.
I still tell him the story of the day he was born every year. He just turned 30!
Yes. I was 7. I was beyond disappointed that he wasn't a girl. My cousin/BFF was at the hospital that day too and we decided we'd just have to be sisters, since apparently our mothers weren't giving us any.
I'm the baby of the family but my older brother claims his first memory was seeing me in the hospital the day I was born. He is 2 years and 3 months older.
Nope, not at all. I was 3 and 4 when they were born but I have a terrible memory and really only have flashes of anything until like...the sixth grade.

I was 2.5 and I clearly remember my brother's birth. It's probably my earliest memory, I guess.
I remember my parents frantically leaving the house when it was dark out, and I was in pajamas standing by the door not wanting them to go. My grandma came over to watch me. It was Dec 23rd so I also remember that my house had Christmas lights on.
It's kind of crazy that I remember that, having a sibling is a big deal I guess!
Tamb, do you think V & J are too young to remember? I feel like under 2 (or just 2) is a lot different than 2.5+, but maybe I'm wrong.
Yes because I was putting together a 101 Dalmations puzzle with my parents after church. I didn't get a chance to finish and had to stay with my grandma.
I was 6 and not thrilled with the idea of no longer being an only.
I was 12 months when my sister was born so nope on that. But oddly I don't remember my brother's birth either. I was nearly 7. And I remember going with my mom and dad to the hospital. And I remember my mom bringing him home but that's it. Nothing else. I know that my grandparents came and picked us up.
I was almost 7. I don't remember my mom being pregnant. I do remember bouncing around in an empty waiting room at the hospital one night while my parents were off somewhere presumably getting my mom admitted. The next memory I have is my dad waking me up in the MOTN to tell me the baby had been born. IIRC, he made me guess the gender and I guessed boy and was right. I also remember sleeping in my parent's bed that night since my mom wasn't home.
My mom tells me she had an extremely rough C-section recovery when she came home. I don't remember anything except not being allowed to hold the baby because the baby had no head control and I couldn't be trusted to hold the head gently. Ugh.
Yes, I was 2 years, 8 months when my sister was born. I don't so much remember my mom going to the hospital, but I remember my dad taking me to McDonald's for breakfast on the way to visit and having hotcakes, putting the baby chick stuffed animal I'd picked out for in her bassinette, and holding her. I was wearing a blue, green and orange striped t-shirt.
My first truly identifiable memory is being at the OB's office with my mom and hearing my sister's heartbeat, and I also remember talking to my mom's belly a lot when she was pregnant.
I was almost two and a half when my brother was born. I remember precisely going to the hospital to meet him.
I also have a vivid memory that predates his birth, when a daycare worker wouldn't take my to the bathroom at about twenty months old. I peed myself and they furiously out me in a diaper a d yelled at my mother. But i asked three times to go and they were too busy chatting to take me.
