#8. I was in 4th grade when that freaking movie came out and they showed it at LEAST 3 times over the course of the school year. I turned in to a sobbing, gasping for breath, snot running down my face mess every time Littlefoot's mom died.
Land before time, Bambi and Fox and the hound basically scarred me for life. I can't even think about those movies without crying. And I had to ask to sit in the hall and read a book when we watched fox and the hound in my senior english class because I didn't want to cry in front of everyone.

That scene from Up always gets me.
But I want to know where is the flashback scene from Kung Fu Panda 2? His mother hid him from the wolves and sacrificed herself to save him! I cried so hard the first time I saw it. Granted, I was pg at the time, but still... She knew she was saying goodbye forever!

OMG, this scene makes me a mess. My kids didn't understand what she was doing the first time they watched it, and I could barely answer their questions I was so choked up.

This was me in the flashback scene in the final Deathly Hallows movie. When Lilly is trying to make one year old Harry remember how much she loved him, and at the time I had a one year old boy, and I was ugly sobbing in the theater. My husband still calls it his most embarrassing public moment.

The thing that gets me about Dumbo as a mom is her need to comfort him even when she was in captivity. The singing the "baby of mine" and rocking him with her trunk. Too many feels for that scene. It is just so relatable. Like when else have I felt I could relate to an cartoon elephant lol.

Dumbo will always be the worst for me.
Somewhat "happy" cries for me are: When Peter gives up on Shadow ("he was just too old") and then Shadow comes running over the hill in Homeward Bound. And the mom goes "oh" and Peter turns around and everyone starts running. GAH!
Also, when the pelican starts telling Nemo all about how his dad is fighting the entire ocean just to find him and Nemo looks so proud and happy.

LOL @ @gypsy. I got sucked in and now I'm all weepy.
I remember ugly-crying during My Girl. Fuck. And that damn horse in the swamp of sadness, I swear, scarred me for life.
Some of these I don't get, though. When Wilbur met Charlotte's babies, *that* was the sad moment? When Belle fell in love with the beast? I don't think those deserve top-sad-moment status compared to Bambi and Dumbo.
Where's Where the Red Fern Grows? OMG, the book made me sob and then we had to watch the movie in class. Who does that to kids?!?! Or Old Yeller?

My 25-year old brother and I both ugly cried throughout that entire montage. LOL.

Oh, and you know what always gets me? The shelter scene in Lady & the Tramp, when they show you all the sad dogs in the lonely, cold little cells with tears running down their faces.
As a kid, I was just "yeah, a shelter must be a sad place." As an adult with two rescue dogs, that 20 seconds or so just kills me.
Ugh, All Dogs Go to Heaven reminds me of when my cousin's dog died, and her asshole teacher told her the dog didn't go to Heaven b/c the Bible says only humans have souls.
my h told me this once and I legit cried. I was like 26. I also decided that he is totally wrong.
