I would not have gone to see Bush (W), but I would have gone to see Reagan.
Actually, I did see Bush once, before he was elected. He was campaigning locally, so my friends went to hold signs of support, even though it was just outside a local, closed venue. I went just for the experience.
I would probably hear anyone speak in a small setting regardless of my personal feelings. It's just that I can't stand to even hear Bush's voice, and my face would be unable to mask contempt. That's why he's out.
Rallies are out if I'm opposed b/c that's about supporting the candidate. Plus, I would go mad around supporters of someone I didn't like.

I volunteered at the Busy Rally when he came to Minnesota. I wasn't a fan but went for the experience. A ton of people went to the local airport to see Air Force One.
Would I do it again? At a campaign rally? Prolly not. Now if I could go back in time and visit Lincoln's. HECK YES!
