hannahb, it was so yummy, and would be so easy to make! It was just fresh grapefruit juice, vodka, and then a mixture of a sea salt and cane sugar rim. I make a really awesome grapefruit basil martini (made w/the grapefruit basil in our garden ), but this drink is going in the rotation.
Wines Not Whines, it's funny, but our anniversary makes me have the opposite reaction. 4 years sounds so short to me in comparison to our relationship. We took our sweet time getting to the wedding part. I just had no interest in the logistics of it for awhile, so it's our 4 yr anniversary, but in May, we will be together for 14 yrs. lol Happy Anniversary!

We're kind of the same way, but we dated for less time. We started dating in 2000, so it's also 14 years for us!

hannahb, it's so easy! I just muddled the grapefruit basil w/vodka, add grapefruit juice (fresh ruby red is best, but bottled will do), add ice, and shake. You can serve it as a martini, or I've also made a separate bowl of ice cubes w/basil leaves frozen in them, and served it on the rocks.
