This actually makes me feel a bit better for Shalane. It's not just poor execution, I don't think she had that time in her. At all.

She PR'ed by like 3 minutes though, no?  Her placing is not what she hoped for, but I am in the "PR is a victory" camp, especially when it's a big PR.  She ran with balls and with heart; she should be proud.
