My kitty was an indoor cat but loved to sneak outside (I found her as a ferel kitten one year ago). She must have gotten out this morning while I was packing the car up to take L to the nanny and myself to school. My neighbor texted me around 5 to say, "go check on the cat! I think she was under my car." I was still in class. This is what she sent me next:
I don't know which cat. I heard something like in my car before I got it. So I cranked up and sat there a few minutes. Then drove off. I looked in the rear view and a cat was flopping around!! It must have been up in the engine or something! I feel sick but I could stop!!
My other neighbor said he took a cat to the trash can because he found her dead in the road. At first, he said a calico, which Phoebe is not. He kept saying "orangish tint". I brought a picture over and he confirmed it was the same kitty (she was grey and looked orange, too). Y'all, I can't breathe. Just this morning, Liam and her were rolling around playing. He LOVED that cat, and she was so patient with him. I don't know what to do. I feel a panic attack coming on.
PLEASE PLEASE check under your car for pets on rainy and/or cold days.
