Half tomorrow! It's rainy here today, and supposed to be on Sunday as well. I'm normally a fair weather runner only, so this should be interesting! I'm going to look at hats at Fleet Feet today when I get my packet.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

Its supposed to be rainy off/on for the next week here (including race day). I'm crossing my fingers that the ONE HOUR we are running is not rainy. One hour is all I'm asking for. It can rain the entire weekend, just spare me that one hour. lol
I'm volunteering at an aid station at the Nike Half. My race for the weekend will be biking there and arriving by 5:30 AM to set up
Can you let us know which one (mile marker)?
I wanna make sure us Nike Women are able to run by and be all "::chug Nuun:: OMG HI COLE THANKS SO MUCH FOR ROCKING OUT HERE TODAY AGHJAAHSJFKASHJ ::cough cough wheeze wrong pipe::"
Okay who are we kidding here, that'll just be my uncoordinated self.
Lol, I'll be at the very end of Hains Point around mile 9!

I'll be at the Blue Ridge Marathon aid station by the Y. I have to work until 10 so, it will be after that +however long it takes to navigate the streets. David will be there early, though - stop by and say hi! Will you be around post-race or are you headed straight to DC?
'Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather, to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming 'Woohoo! What a ride!' So every day is a holiday and every meal a feast."

Sometimes I don't look to see who is posting something before I read the post. I can 99% of the time pick out a vtcupcake post without looking.
5K Saturday PM. It will be interesting...not expecting to PR since the weather is getting pretty warm and it's a PM race, but I'm hoping to surprise myself!
Me! I'm doing a WOLF run (Woods, Obstacles, Lakes, Fields). It's a 10K off road, plus obstacles. And I've drunk a bottle of prosecco. Not my best preparation. Oops.

I did the Country Music Half in Nashville today. Have a minor knee injury so I barely trained and speed walked half. Stayed with my friend and we had a blast. Highly recommend this race and sometimes it's fun going in without a goal. Congrats and good luck to the other racers.

My best friend did this one too. She does it every year and loves it.

Yes still on my runners high. I love Nashville. This was a really well done race.

I was there too. It was so much fun. Did you see the people giving out Krispy Kreme? I took one.
Like I mentioned above I ran RnR Nashville. No time goals other than to finish and attempt a negative split. I ran with one of my fellow April 2012 moms. We walked the hills and pushed it when we wanted to. I finished in 2:20 which I will take considering I raced last weekend.

Nice work! I didn't realize your two halves were back-to-back weekends.

Yeah, last weekend was supposed to be a training run since I was scheduled to run 13 miles, and I'd planned to be in Louisville anyway.
cinco thanks! It was such an enjoyable experience. I don't plan to race frequently without time goals, but it sure was nice.

Racing back-to-back weekends is tough. I bet you were still feeling it. Nicely done!
I ran the Glass City Marathon Relay today with some friends and we had a blast! It was a self-supported relay so you had to drive around between all the points and meet your team. We were on time and came in under our estimate (4:26:51) and that's with 2 runners swapped out from the initial registration due to injury.

I ran a trail 5K. My time was bad, about a minute slower than last year. It was hot and dusty. I wish I had brought water even though I don't usually carry it for distances that shirt bc there were no water stops. I would really like to start running trails more regularly and maybe have a big PR next year.
