I had my heart set on a cherry nursery set that has apparently been discontinued. I'm now eyeing the same one in white, even though I'm not that into white furniture. But now that I think about it, white will lighten up the room (not that the paint color is dark, but cherry plus the paint color might be too heavy), and also won't show teeth or scuff marks.
What color is your nursery furniture? Do you like it? Why or why not?
Obviously mine has gotten exactly zero use but it is white. From Ikea...I am cheap
Plus the room is smallish and I wanted light and airy, the crib is all bars so it doesn't seem as imposing and like it takes up less space.
Now that we're considering white instead of cherry, I'm wondering if I should just go the Ikea route to save money. Some of their stuff isn't bad looking, and a couple of them have drawers, which I love for the extra storage!

It took like 5 minutes to put together too. Easiest Ikea project evah!

I bet it'll take Dan an hour. Because what are directions?
We have the PBK Madison crib and changing table set in their espresso color. Our walls are a flat light gray with broad glossy stripes to give that very subtle accent. There's turquoise and orange accents in the room in the form of homemade wall decals in hot air balloons and clouds and big tissue paper poms hanging from the ceiling like clouds and hot air balloons made out of Chinese lanterns made by my sister.
Okay, that sounds adorable. You need to post pictures now.
I picked out a black crib. I wanted something that was easy to match furniture to down the line since the bed converts to a full size. I also had a big dresser growing up that I wanted to fix up, and paint to match the crib to use as a dresser and changing station. I also later found a nightstand that I refinished to match.
I felt like being able to do this with wood in the future would be more difficult so I stuck with a color that would be easier to find matching in the future or that I could easily refinish to match.

Usually I manage to put something together inside out or backwards. There were all of four steps I think. I was almost disappointed at the fact H and I didn't even need to have our traditional ikea furniture building argument.
We have an espresso crib and dresser..........walls, we haven't painted yet.
The crib has been recently concerted to full size bed and is now pushed up against our king. Bjl falls asleep in her own bed (with me) but after MOTN is still sleeping on me, either her bed or mine.
I normally like cherry/espresso and the that is what is in the rest of my house and the cabinets in kitchen and bath. But, for the nursery I have white, and from IKEA. It's a small room and I wanted bright and open and cheerful and clean lines and I thought white was easiest to re-purpose for boy or girl. The IKEA stuff was inexpensive and easy to put together and once it was all set up I think it looks very nice.

We have a cherry crib for Finley. I'm not sure yet what we'll do for the new one, either pass her crib down or get a new convertible for her. (She's still sleeping in her crib at almost 18 months and doesn't try to climb out)

I just want you to know that this actual thing came out of his mouth yesterday: "I'm just going to throw away the directions and break out my drill."
Those look nice! We have light wood. Birch? Not sure, but the Expedit cube storage and changing table came from IKEA...our crib is a Davinci Kalani from Amazon, though it hasn't seen much (any) use.
