Ok, let me jump on the bandwagon and introduce my son, Isa!! He was born Monday July 9 @ 3:25 pm and was 6lb 11oz 21 inches long!
Crazy birth story cliffs notes ( 39w1d):
- Went to breakfast at 9...feeling a bit crampy and uncomfortable. - Came home and was half assed timing my contractions while trying to get my room cleaned. They seemed to be sort of consistent but they would space out and they werent lasting that long. -At 11:30 I took two tylenol to dull the pain a little so I could keep going and wait it out to get to the hospital. I didnt want to get there too early and be strapped to a bed. - At 1:30 I asked MH to get me subway because I thought I should eat before going to the hospital - At 2, I got in the shower to help with the back labor and nearly threw up....this is when shit got real. I knew I need to get to the hospital. - Lots of fumbling to get dressed and rushing while having crazy contractions. MH was on a work call and was running around getting the suitcase in the car and finding the keys....I said goodbye to my daughter and ordered my SIL to put a big towel on the front seat of the car as well as a bucket. I was getting kind primal. Its 2:50 pm - Water breaks in the car. ( thank God for the towel ) - Rushed to L&D via wheelchair, stripped of my pants, checked....baby is crowning. - grabbed a random doctor, 1 push he was out. This was 3:25 pm.
NOT how I was expecting....recovery is not so fun, but my little man is worth it!
Congratulations! Your birth story reminds me why everyone warned me that labor times get shorter with each child and to get to the hospital ASAP after contractions start.

I will be the biggest advocate of that now! It was surreal since my daughter was induced...

First off, he is gorgeous! And I love his name. Second, holy fast labor! My goodness. If you decide to have another baby, you might want to camp out at the hospital the last couple of weeks. LOL.

Thanks so much, everyone!!
I think based on that labor and recovery alone, I will not be having any more babies. I keep having flashbacks of getting to the hospital and the whirlwind that ensued...although I was grateful to not be induced, that labor was just *too* fast!

Congrats on your healthy baby boy! He's so adorable!I love the asking for subway/taking a shower-were you planning on blowdrying your hair too? If I was going into labor I don't think I'd be cleaning my room, you are so lucky you made it to the hospital in time! Nice job on the speedy labor!
