Free Comic Book Day

Who's excited? Our local comic book shop always has really good sales.  I think last year it was buy 2 get 1 free on trades, single issues were 10% off and toys were around 20% off.  I always spend too much money.

My work is doing something tomorrow. Some of the Rat City Roller Girls will be there, so that should be cool.

Man, I had completely forgotten. I'm supposed to be working there tomorrow!

Our store had a god day. We opened at 11 and there was a pretty long line at the door at 10:30.

LOVE FCBD!! It's a family tradition for us. DD picks her costume out in March- this year was Elsa, year's past have been Black Cat from Spidernan, Poison Oak (invented character- "Poison Ivy's sister, she's not evil she's just misunderstood"), and She-Ra. She gets her picture taken with the giant Hulk statue every year, it's kinda awesome. Some Texans do bluebonnet pictures, we do FCBD!

Our favourite local store had over 3000ppl there today, amazing. We got there right before they started at 8 and the line was wrapped around the building but they have such a good system that it flows really well.

My grandfather was a comic book illustrator who drew lots of marvel and DC comics. He passed away last night.
