My day has been OK. I'm searching for a job and today I had a trial day at a local kindergarten as a cook. They are looking for a cook to come in and prepare lunch for about 20 kids and 5 adults. They want a cook who will prepare healthy meals as the cook they have now makes a lot of heavy dishes. I made baked crispy chicken with a cherry tomato sauce and a slice of mozz baked on top (sounds heavy, but it wasn't). This was served with a veggie and pasta salad. I think it went well and I heard lots of kids saying 'lecker' (delicious in German), so I guess that's a good sign. I'll find out at the end of the month. The problem is the kitchen is really small and it's hard to prepare a large amount of food in a tiny space.
I'm making shrimp enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo.
QOTD: If I remember my dreams, I look up things in the dream on an app I have (dream moods, I think). I have been dreaming about tornadoes for years. It is one of my biggest fears, even though I never grew up in a tornado region.
I had pseudo-Mexican for today (at lunch)! Chipotle! I'm travelling for work, and this town has one. It's darn near impossible to get Mexican-ish food near home.
Tonight, though, I plan on having supper at a patio with a lovely salad and a "grosse apfelwein". Yum. If I ever get not-full from lunch... The weather is great today, and it should be tomorrow, and then it goes downhill for most of the rest of my trip here.
Hi there, I'm not really doing anything for Cinco de Mayo but I do eat my share of Mexican and Tex-Mex regularly. Maybe I'll have Mexican for lunch.
QOTD: I don't really dream much lately. I just knock out and wake up. I therefore don't really have anything to look up. I don't really buy into general dream symbolism though I do think that dreams can sometimes have personal significance. Other times, dreams are just like recycled pieces of things that have happened or been thought about or are just in one's memory somewhere IMO. During the rare times that I have dreamed lately, I think they might have been lucid dreams. That is where you have a dream that seems like being awake. I haven't had even those much though lately.

Frankfurt Chipotle?! I'm jealous. Enjoy your Apfelwein. Which Apfelwein Place are you going to (if you are in Frankfurt)?

Yeah, it's at the Skyline Plaza (Mall).
I just get apfelwein at the restaurant/bar/pub-like places near my hotel here. I'm in an out of the way area (not near the center of Frankfurt), so I choose convenience for food. These trips seem to come with too many working hours and not much left over for enjoying the area, so I need to find a reasonably fast meal most nights. Which can be difficult in Europe... If I'm really crammed for time, I go to the grocery store, but some bread, cheese and fruit, and take it back to my room.
