I am not in a rush as she's having surgery on Wednesday and will be recovering for quite some time. I don't have the slightest idea about yarn, but I love the colors of Warmth. Is that something that could be used for that purpose?

Skipping, you really kind of suck for this.

I know nothing about prayer shawls in particular, just what I looked at on google and ravelry just now. Are the ones she usually makes really light and delicate or are the thicker?  The Warmth colorway is in a fingering yarn which is very lightweight. It would make a beautiful shawl or scarf, but unless the pattern is very lacy the 4oz-ish of that color is probably not going to be enough. I'd go with something in the worsted or sport weight and 8oz-ish.  If time isn't an issue I can dye something for you specifically in fingering, sport or worsted. PM me if you want to talk more.

The only reason why I stopped playing was because most people moved over to Mafia, and I stopped seeing threads about CAH.
