Beach resort. It's my first time going as an adult. I only have one character meal reservation and no fast passes booked :/ it really overwhelms me
You can book fp plus in the park day of but I would encourage you to book your three a day now, even if you have to change them when you get there. I have never been to the Beach Club but I have seen the pool & it looks awesome! Have a great trip!
Thanks for the review. We are going at he end of July but staying off site because FIL gave us his timeshare week. I grew up in Florida and am not looking forward to be heat. We are getting a 7 day park hopper so no rush and the big thing in the list is Jedi training and the new Fantasyland. I still need to research that. My parents live in Florida so we will be back again. DH says I am intense in getting there early so I might try some pool mornings then hear to the parks.
You give me confidence in the Hoop Dee Doo reservation. I was on the fence but included alcohol, DH likes ribs, and I like everything.
Have you ever done the Fantasmic dinner package? I reserved it so we could get reserved seating. We book it as Hollywood and Vine for lunch.

We did the fantasmic dinner package, and the seating area was right in the middle. It was good seats!
When we went to Disneyland we probably sat waiting for two hours. I didn't want to attempt that again.
All the times we've been to Disney growing up and that was the first time I saw it. I haven't seen illuminations either.

We are working on our fall vacation and are considering WDW. DS will be 15 months. Worth it to bring him for 2-3 days? My FIL has a timeshare in Orlando that has 4 pool areas and lots of restaurants so we wouldn't go to the parks more than a few days.
We either will do this or full on relaxation for a week at the beach. I'm having such a hard time deciding!

Neither choice will be relaxing, so I'd pick WDW.
At least at WDW you'll stay busy, whereas if I took a toddler to the beach I'd just be shooting death glares at everyone else lazing around while I try to stop my kid from killing himself every 30 seconds.

Good point, Brie. I'm leaning more towards WDW and I've never been there so it does make me excited reading all these threads.

We took DD1 at 11.5 months and 18 months. She had an absolute blast both times. I think WDW would be more entertaining for a 15 month old then the beach.
We did WDW whenDD was 2 and Aruba when she just turned 3. I personally liked Aruba better with a toddler because our hotel was on the beach and we could go to the room for naps. She did nap in the stroller at Disney but we were kinda stuck. We spent most of the time at Epcot for that reason, we drank around the world as she slept. Lol.
We are staying at OKW. Ugh to bugs. We are on the wait list for Hospitality, but maybe we will request Turtle Pond. I don't mind walking everywhere.
Other than the bus, what other modes of transportation are there?
How did you get BOG? We were shut out. These are our ADRs.
Cinderella's Royal table (dinner on DDs birthday) Chef Mickey (dinner) Crystal Palace (brunch) Hollywood and vine (brunch) Akershus (dinner)
Also deciding between hoop de doo or the luau for one night.
I booked BOG at 6:00 am at the 180 day mark.
You have a ton of character meals. DD will have a blast. OKW is awesome. I think it was a fluke with the bugs. There is also a boat to DtD from the resort. It's a very pretty ride. I have never heard a good review of the luau, but I also have never been. Would you consider Ohana's instead?

I didn't do Cinderella's royal Table (although I hope to on my next trip) but I did all the other character meals and they were really fun. We also did Tusker House and 1900 Park Faire.
