I have a (very in shape, attractive, male) friend also doing the race. They both killed him in the swim. And then he spent 15 min in transition so I'm not sure what that's all about.

That's kind of the cool thing about IM, just because you look a certain way does not mean you are faster or stronger or even slower.I remember passing some very in shape good looking people on the run. It's almost all mental by that point!

I absolutely believe it. I also think they are probably better and more experienced racers than he is.

KAMS was excited & giddy because she smoked two guys in her group who are also doing IMTX, in their workout last week. We have some tough H&Fers!!

It really depends on a lot of factors. It took me 8 hours, but the course I was on had 20 miles of climbing at the end. I would think it would take these guys 6-7 hours, they are on a much flatter course, but it could get hot, etc. it just really depends. Either way, they are gonna rock it!

This is just to give an example. If chw kept her pace, that would be 7 hrs.

I was looking at her fb last night and getting emotional. My kids were getting concerned I was having some kind of mental breakdown, lol.

I have no idea what swim and bike times mean, but I'm in awe they've been going for 3 1/2 hours and aren't even halfway there yet. Incredible display of ability.
